What do you expect from next chapter?

I'm feeling really curious abaut what next year chapter will bring. Pretty sure it will come with a new zone and a new trial, but what esle will they add in order to justify the "chapter" thing?.

I mean, Morrowind came with new class and battlegrounds but I doubt they will be adding a new class every year. A new BG mode didn't worth the chapter status IMO.

Don't want to discuss here what zone will come (already have some open discussions about that), I'm asking you about that "extra" content.

I would love to see PvP arenas (1v1, 4v4, 12v12...) or a new PvP zone IC like.
PvE wise a new arena for 2 or 6 players will be nice too.

What do you expect or wish?

actually when ZOS announced battlegrounds, I thought it will be like that, multiple numbers of players options on each side

I expect that there will be 2 BIG things for PvE
In the Morrowing "chapter" one was Morrowind the other was the new Warden Class.

My guess is that spellcrafting will be one of the above. Not sure what the other could be - but Morrowind generated a LOT of interest, so it will have to be something pretty special to even come close.

I hope that there will be 1 BIG thing for PvP (i.e. equivalent to Battlegrounds).

Not a clue what that would be, but then I rarely PvP, so I'm not even sure what I would want (well I have a few suggestions, but I'm not really invested, and I don't know that the "PvP crowd" would like the same things I like).

I also expect a new zone, at least 6 new sets of dropped armor, 1 new crafting station/set, 2 new motifs, 2 new undaunted, and 3-6 delves, 3-6 WB's and some kind of "story of the zone".
Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.

Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...

I expect to see something that will force me to buy that expansion. I don't care about the zone, have zero interest in SS (pun intended) islands lore, so Zos should add something more appealing for me to spend another, lets say, 70ish euros on it. Another class, additional weapon skill lines, jewelry crafting, housing that adds stash space, more char slots... Any of these would make me consider buying SS chapter.

A huge place to explore, like morrowind but not almost empty, with more dungeons and quests to complete.

A rework of cities, they're almost all the same, add more functions and things to do new like some activities, horses races, mini games in tavern or something similar.

    New weapon skill line.

    More choices in skills morphs.

    Make hybrids viable.

Improvement of npc behaviour during conversations, they're too static and do not seems to be really alive.

Some graphics improvements for old non dlc zones.

News game mechanices for dungeons, like puzzles.

Yeah we all know there will never be an AH. Just stop asking or wanting one. This system keeps things in balance, at least better than a central AH would.

People complain the big guilds control everything. You have any idea how bad it would be if those same large guilds had access to all the, say Rosin, in the game world. It would probably go up 500% or more in cost. You would only find it for sale really by people in the largest couple guilds.

People need to stop being so obsessed with an AH, especially when others are calling for improvements to the present system rather than the introduction of an AH  ! There are plenty of ways in which the present system can be improved so as to offer decent buying and selling opportunities for all, without having to depart from the present guild traders concept.

IMO you are so out of luck dude, adding spell crafting in any meaningful way would basically be rewriting the design of the game from the ground up. That would essentially have to be ESO 2.

new skill lines, because classes are not the right way to go about customization.
new classes are okay, but they made a big mistake in the development of the game. they shouldn't have used classes. they should have gone for archetypes.

Morrowind was a chapter based on nostalgia. The next chapter will probably be far better in terms of what we are given since it won’t be relying at all on nostalgia to be amazing :)

I think the Nostalgia was BIG in terms of motivation to purchase. It will take something equally BIG to generate equal interest and shekels.

EDIT: For myself and my husband (and the other couple we game with) it was THE motivating factor in our purchase.

Forums tears, I expect lots of forums tears.

I don't see them doing another class so soon, and neither adding another new game mode. So they're going to have to pull something interesting out if they want to keep selling expansions as "more than a DLC"

I would at the very least expect another longer 12 player trial.

might be a bit offtopic, because its too late to be implemented and nothing like that will ever happen in a chapter, but here you go:
lets take the dk class as an example.
the magicka version is basically a fighter that is themed around fire. you can mix that up with other abilities from different skill lines like the mages guild, destruction staff and so on.
why put that limitation there in the first place?
why not just make a fighter archetype and a fire skill line?
make a fighter archetype, a mage archetype, a thief/stealth archetype and so on.
make a fire skill line, a lightning skill line, a healing skill line and so on. (you could even split those skill lines into smaller ones or increase the amount of abilities per line).
then, if i play a fighter and choose fire as a skill line, give me the abilities from that skill line AND give me the option to morph my archetype skills to a fire based version with additional/different effects.
for example, a basic fighter ability. lets call it "Slash". now i add the fire skill line, the healing skill line and the necro skill line.
"Slash" can now be morphed to "Flame Lash", "Strike of Devotion" (Hitting the Enemy for X and healing you or an Ally for Y) or "Death Embrace" (effect lasts X seconds, after effect ends or enemy dies, a skeleton is spawned for Y seconds). Obviously, those are just examples.
i could just be a dragon knight like they are today. choose fighter, choose fire and some other skill lines called "earth", "stone" or whatever.
i could be something totally different too. lets say i choose fighter the healing skill line (and some other skill lines i'd like to use), making me a melee based healer.
could be a fire mage, an ice archer, necro thief, whatever.
    you get the picture.

Would that really be enough to be a PvP motivator as compared to Battlegrounds?

I don't really know. Only did one trial, ever, got invited to Maw of L (non-vet) when I happened to be wandering around and there was amazing leadership and communication and we did fine - but it wasn't "easy".

But that doesn't really have the feel of PvP...to me, anyway.
