Yes

There was one time I was doing a random normal with friends when I forgot to switch my role from my PVP healer/DPS to my PVE tank role. Fortunately, it was a pre-made with friends, so we were all good.

Yes

I did it once. In a moment of weakness, I queued up as a DPS, They knew immediately that I was fake the moment I asked in chat how to attack. I was kicked and sent a rather rude message telling me to "gut gid".

It was a dark day for Mr. Cadbury.

Only when the group is already formed (2/1/1) and still getting the "group members incompatible" bug.

If I queue for a role on a given character, it's because I can do that role on a given character.

No. If I sign up as DD I make sure my dps is 15k minimum on bosses, 35k on trash.
