How can a sorc reach 30k dps?

I've never played sorc before, so I don't know the skills or class mechanics, but my girlfriend wants to play one.
We're currently testing builds on the pts, and her dps is around 10k according to the training dummies. I know sorcs can and should be able to reach 30k, so does anyone have any advice please?
Any specific sets, skill bar set up, cp build or food buff necessary for that?

✭✭✭✭You can reach 25K+ if you use the proper gear even with a simple rotation. 10K is just from heavy attacks one after another. With LL and blockade down you already at almost 20K add curse and force pulse weaving with the heavies on front bar and you are at 25K. If you manage to do LA consistently between back bar skills and drop ultimate when ready you will easily hit 30K.
