The whole “CTR now requires strategy” thing is what tipped me off. If he plays BGs then he’ll have been in a game where each team had a tank on defense and bash duty that timed out the match. That’s not strategy.
I know that what I did here wasn't possible without CP
I was duo queued with Bee-Pee and he and I were in comms. I mentioned afterward that I kind of felt bad for doing that to them. Yes winning is good, but the biggest challenge for me was not the other players but overcoming the chaosball's damage itself. I don't know if they were new to the game type or the map, but the other teams were experienced players with decent CP and/or PVP ranks. I wasn't even in what I consider to be an extremely tanky build either, it was actually my no-cp healer build now with my CP incorporated.

I've had games before on no-CP where I held the chaos ball the whole game and didn't drop it once. Picked it up at the beginning and survived all the way to a 500-0-0 score. And that was on a destro/restro offensive Magblade.
So with CP I can't even imagine how much of a pain it is to kill the chaos-ball carrier. A group of Wardens + magplars would be practically invincible it would seem like. CP just makes everything a stalemate. Such boring game play. I really hope ZOS reverts BGs to no-CP ASAP.
Off-topic, but this image perfectly captures why BGs aren't appealing to many of us, CP or no-CP. One team got more kills than the other two teams combined, and yet failed to score a single point. PVP, to many of us, is about using your abilities to deplete the health bars of other players while preventing them from doing the same to you -- this ball-carrying stuff just seems like a different activity entirely.
Maybe i am often on the winner side, so i really dont write sarcasm here and enjoy the update...
Sry for misunderstanding

ZoS are just following the players. There are much more players on a CP Campaigns than on noCP, so obviously that BG must have CP enabled.
I personally think CP in BG is horrible idea.
You can't streak with flags, but you can use gear speed buffs and skill speed buffs - no logic.
Make players with flags have standard sprint speed.

Streaking with flags isnt something special for CP...
Ye no one can be one-shotted now when bgs is just of healbots, invested everything in 100 Blessed and uncapable to deal even 200k dmage during 1 match and thinking how great their survivability, or 65k hp permablocking tanks that only hold block and stay near to capture ball/relic/flag when you will tire of hitting them for 10minutes..
Ye, it definetly fun now when CP carry everyone beside poor 100 cp new players dared to try how small-scale taste and being endlessly melted by 690 people with zero chance to fight back.
You're being incredibly short sighted. The longer it takes new players to reach the point where they can be competitive in PvP, the greater their incentive to simply not play it. What happens when there aren't enough new players coming to the game to keep the BG population viable? Are you really going to run around soloing for an hour between games while you wait on the queue?Ye no one can be one-shotted now when bgs is just of healbots, invested everything in 100 Blessed and uncapable to deal even 200k dmage during 1 match and thinking how great their survivability, or 65k hp permablocking tanks that only hold block and stay near to capture ball/relic/flag when you will tire of hitting them for 10minutes..

Its an MMO that's how it suppose to be... If I've been playing this game for years to unlock every CP, every skill to lvl 4, theory craft and test the best possible pvp build for my own style, farm gold to make that build full legendary, why does a cp 100 guy suppose to have a chance vs me?... This isn't a Battle Royale game, its an MMO, TIME matters...
As I said before too many times, if people want a game where Newbies can be as the exact same level as Veterans, go play MOBAs or Battle Royale Games. In MMOs time matters and it will always matters, its the beauty of the genre, playing to achive something, in this case pvp God Level...

When it comes to PvP, I'm looking for fun and competitive fights, not endless steamrolling (or being steamrolled) because of huge gaps in levels or gear. I find no fun whatsoever in winning or losing simply because either me or my opponent has more time showing on the /played command. Skill should matter a lot more than how much time one's arse has been in a chair.
Never played a MOBA in my life, and have no interest whatsoever in starting now. Most FPS games are entirely too unrealistic and goofy for me as well, with something akin to the ArmA series (and maybe Squad?) being the only ones that interest me at all. But thanks for the suggestions. You're being incredibly short sighted. Well then dont play it at all, this genre is not for everyone anyway and maybe is not for you... People like you are playing MOBAs, Battle Royales or Coop Shooters. And there's nothing wrong with the MMORPG genre, it has been like this for years and it will continue to be...
In this genre TIME matters, time for farming currency, time for gearing up, time for unlocking skills, time for leveling your character, etc, etc, etc. I wait almost 2 years to be ''truly'' competitive in this game.
And what do I mean with ''truly competitive'', Im at the point that I can have as much gold as I want, any set that I want, test any skill that I want, play any build that I want, etc, etc. I already unlock EVERY single stuff in the game that can/will help me to PvP. But I played almost for 2 years to reach this status.
If you dont like the grind, MMOs are not for you...
Demanding that new players spend 2 years with the game, like you did, before being able to compete against you in Battlegrounds is absurdly selfish, and a good way to completely kill the future of PvP in ESO. And would you even be OK with them competing against you on equal footing, 2 years from now? After all, if you're still around you'd have been playing for 4 years by then, why shouldn't you just continue to get free wins?
