"The Precursor" Quest bugged

Having done the quest on the PTS, I already had a full list of locations of the parts, so I thought to myself "What's the harm of getting all the pieces and installing them at the same time?" I discovered that doing this, including the quest objective Integral of Reason, completely broke the quest. I got the achievement, but the quest cannot be completed and I don't have the target dummy. I abandoned the quest, tried again, and now the head is stuck on the table and still asking for his Integral of Memory. I could always do the quest on a different character, but still. It's broken.

I'm sort of having the same issue. I have done every quest but this one. I go up to the bulletin board to get it and it doesn't trigger a quest at all. I went to the workshop and the npc talks to me like i started the quest but in my journal i have no quests left. no markers on the map or anything. I cannot contact support and link quest because there's none left but this one which I can't even get to link, to request assistance.

Anyone know what I should to about this? Maybe @ZOS_GinaBruno

Same issue as OP. I collected parts first, went to complete the dummy and it was all in the cage, but the assistant wouldn't give me the next part of the quest. I logged out and back in, nothing changed.

So I abandoned the quest, and now the heads back on the table asking for his memory, but the memory is in the cage with the rest of the parts. No quest marker, nothing. I even got the Precursor achievement.

Although the quest/achievement should have been fixed on Monday as I believe to remember, this is still bugged for me. I have no active quest and Zenon won't give me one, but I could collect all other pieces except the Integral of Reason. Interacting with the Precurser or Zenon does not help, still no quest active and even when I go to the location where the Integral should be, I find nothing there....

Xbox here and I am having the same problem. When I abandon the quest and pick it back up it goes to the last part but dude won't give me another quest.

I'm not sure if they have pushed the patch that contains the fix yet. It might still be in certification with Microsoft.

Still no sign of a fix for the Precursor bug despite one being promised two updates ago. I haven't been able to pick up the quest from the noticeboard I think because I did the Lost in the Gloam quest first and picked up the Integral of Reason. Having no idea what this was, I eventually dumped the item so I'm guessing that I will never be able to complete my target dummy.

I've played ESO from day one and this is the first bug that has me seriously thinking about quitting.

This is strange, as this one was able to complete that quest last week (pc-na). To be fair, Khajiit did not get *all* the parts in one shot - one short - but there were no other issues.

Many of the issues I see posted here simply don't seem to occur with my rig. I do run about 8 - 9 addons, but Kimba does not run with heavy map intensive ones, like the harvester (have it, disabled to allow map loading times before I die of old age). Long ago, when this one was just a kitten (pre-tam-1) infinite loading screens were the order of the day. Turned out to be an addon. Go figure.

Not so on PC. I gathered just the one part without knowing what I was doing. Then the quest isn't available although Varin seems to think I have it. Major fail somewhere!

I play on PS4, also quest is gone from quest log. Don't even know how this happened because I was able to pick the quest from the board outside the basilica. Talked to the NPC and the head of the precursor, went about my quests and next day I logged in quest was gone.

Question ZOS For do they have any plans to fix this bug or not? Still can't get the quest.

Same. I found one of the parts while wandering around the CWC, well before ever talking to Zanon—don't know if that has anything to do with it. I think I picked up a quest from the board. The first time I went to it, there was a quest marker but I couldn't interact with it. The next day, however, I do think I got a quest. I currently have no quests located in CWC.



(I hope, if/when this quest gets fixed that'll count for the Clockwork City Grand Adventurer achievement. I'm sitting at 23/24 quests, and after reading over the list of quests on the wiki and suggestions from others of easily missed quests, I'm pretty sure I've done everything else.)

Still no fix for the Xbox.... Not only the 1 month of infinite loadscreens, but now this?!? I'm so close to uninstalling this broken game

I got the quest, on PC, I was able to get all the parts except the left hand. It is supposed to be in the inner sea armature in Stonefalls but it isn't there. Went through the delve twice searching for it with no success. Finally went to a quide which gave a picture of the exact location but when I go there the part does not show up. Other parts are taking up 13 spaces in my inventory which I can do nothing about.

Was checking my achievements for CWC and noticed that on the precursor Left Hand was checked on the list. Do not remember getting it and it was not in my inventory. Went to Zanon's workshop and was able to complete it plus the following quest, strange!

The quest is still bugged, no quest on board and nobody in the workshop.

Recently finished quest of the last of my 15 toons with no issues. I now have 15 precursors in my various homes.

Walked in on them by accident... backed away slowly before they upgraded me.

Perhaps the issue is only happening to a few people? Perhaps you finished the first half of the quest and didn't pick up the second half? There's a part where the quest looks like it's disappeared until you interact with the precursor's framework and if you just walked away it might look like it's bugged.

I just recently did the first quest for the Precursor (the one that actually shows up as a quest) then afterwards went and gathered all the rest of the parts. I came back and installed them and it worked as expected. Then that final quest appears at the NPC in that room. As far as I know it has always worked this way, so did not seem bugged to me.

Well it's now March 19, 2024 and the quest is STILL bugged, NOT fixed. I have all the parts installed but the integral of reason is NOT there. I know where it is I've done this on 10 other toons now. I have 15 toons. If I said I am angry it would be HUGE understatement. Can't say how angry I am or I'd get banned. Tired of this. Oh yeah I've played over 10 years now.
