looking for a non S&B magdk pvp build

i am trying to craft a new magdk pvp build that's not a perma blocking one would like to see other builds to make a new one for myself

Unless you plan on exclusively zerging, you don't need to permablock but as a mDK you really do need a 1hs on one of your bars for defense. Otherwise, you're one soul assault away from death. MDKs lack the mobility of a magden, mNB, and mSorc, so blocking is really your primary defense when focused.

With that said, running a back bar 1hs is very viable. Front bar can be inferno staff or DW. If you do this, I recommend a set that you can activate on your back bar then carry over to your front bar. Wizards riposte or lich come to mind. BlobsESO posted a build with back bar burning spellweave but that's too much to micromanage for me.

Then you can use any set of your choice on the body depending if you want more damage, defense, or sustain. Shacklebreaker, sun, desert rose, blood thorn, etc. All of the standard DK sets could work.

More DKs styles used to be viable when wings worked as a defense. There is always the harness+healing stack.

I'm most likely about to switch to pc so maybe u should just forget the magdk
