someone linked a perfected asylam weapon in zone chat aaand it crashed my game.

thankfully it only happens if i click it, sounds like an addon allowing them to link things they down own is doing it.
to add insult to injury turns out 2 mins after he did it, my sub ran out, which is annoying as hell as i was about to craft my new set of armor knowing sub was about to end so i had it before not being able to go back there for the weekend.

Or it could be an add-on which you have installed, one which affects the Chat UI, item tooltips, the Inventory UI, etc.

i disable addons for 3-4 days after an update to avoid bugs like these, wow taught me well

Everyone knows the PTS is used by a lot people to find exploitable stuff (far from everyone but many)......xD

That's a good policy. I used to play WoW, too. Sometimes I consider either returning to WoW, or maybe just proceed further with The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim than I played that one.

During the current ESO 3.2 Clockwork update, it seems that just as many "updated" add-ons have UI errors as ones which haven't been updated yet. Maybe the patch that was installed today will resolve some of those issues, among others that have been reported for the game software.
