Crows Wood

I wanted to start off this thread with some due thanks. Firstly I wanted to thank the ZOS team for the Witches Fest event. I know theres been some flack over the content provided, but I gotta say it was enough to really reinvigorate me for the duration of the event. It's been quite a bit of fun. I also wanna throw a thank you out to all the randoms I've met at World Bosses over the weekend grinding for skulls. Had some crazy fights with you guys and it was good fun.

But the purpose of this thread was to show some love to my favorite plunder skull grinding spot, Crows Wood. I know it's a beginner dungeon, and the exp gain is very limited, but as far as fitting the aesthetic of Halloween, Crows Wood fits the bill fully. Between the dark purple sky complete with eerie falling stars, the dead forests and murky swamps complete with derelict houses and towers throughout, and the bosses; Ghosts, wisp-mothers, giant bats, spiders and bears oh my!

I just love Crows Wood. If your running laps on PC-NA in Crows Woods you might see me sitting on my chair by bosses. Holler at me, I completed the Hollowjack Motif and recipes so if your needing pages shoot me a whisper and I'll gladly hand them over. I usually run laps but if it gets later of an evening I'll just hang around the upper portion, bouncing between the Wrathvenom spider and Ghyslain's group area. If your in the area or wanting some Halloween-themed plundering fun, swing on by!

So what's your guys opinion? Love Crows Wood? Hate it? Got a similar plunder spot that fits the halloween aesthetic? Share it and I'll check it out. Thanks!

P.S. if anyone has the skills to craft the witch corpse-wrapped furnishing, I'll provide the diagram and all materials needed for one in return. I think the skills needed are tailoring of 8, provisioning of 4, and woodworking of 4 (I'm not 100% sure if those are the correct neccessary skills).

It's one of my favorite public dungeons. Part of this is the aesthetic, and part of it is the talking crows, but part of it is how easy it is to find everything. In some other public dungeons, I spend half the time trying to find a boss I missed or wondering why I can't find the group event. Crow's Wood feels much more navigable and intelligible without feeling linear.

That's where I've been doing my skull plundering, too. I started the festival by clearing all the bosses in public dungeons that I had missed on previous visits and ended up back in Crow's Wood once I was done. I'm usually farming The Moonlit Maiden and Buron, but will run up to Shriekscorn sometimes, too, if there are more people. I spend my cool down time playing my lute for my Crow Swarm which I use as a timer.

The whisps and spiders can be annoying definitely. I wish we could revisit the basement of the tower and fight the crow mother again

Crow's Wood was my first public dungeon. and as such has a special place in my heart. And you're right, it's perfect for Halloween.

For skull plundering, I have my own special corner of a different public dungeon where few others go. I'll tell you all about it next week. :)

Nice little dungeon, thanks for mentioning. As I'm running alone, this is an easy one, actually more like a delve when it comes to level of difficulty.

I prefer Malabal Tor's Crimson Cove. They have ~8-10 guys in compact groups. Gives more exp with smaller efforts :) Similar groups are in Spellscar, Razak Wheel, Lion's Den, Obsidian Scar.

I love Vile Manse for skull plundering. Two bosses opposite each other right inside the door. I kill the mobs between them for xp while waiting for the cooldown timer

The Vile Manse is just creepy, especially when you consider the entire storyline involved. However, it is still one of my favorite dungeons... Crows Wood is another. I just wish ZOS would create more dungeons along these lines.

Forgotten Village I absolutely despise, I always get lost trying to get around, too many 'portals' make it extremely difficult to get from place to place. I hate it so much I refuse to run it... I normally just go in, get to the skyshard, and then teleport out. Sometimes if I have time to kill and am ok with getting frustrated, I'll make my way to the 'group boss' for the extra skillpoint, then teleport out.

i do mine in bangkorai- 2 of the 3 sets are great - and not reliant on proccs- but prior- i loved crows too- alot of fun- and 2 of the 3 sets-before proc nerf where fantastic on the market and in game. great design too- something that makes it stand out from the rest.
