Am I the only one who is a bit unimpressed with a BIG DLC during the 'Halloween' event?

And at the moment there's like really bad ping issues in NA too - so I've logged off because it's unplayable.

I'm fairly "meh" about the whole festival. I did it last year and other than a few bits of furniture that for the most part look like stuff already in the game there is nothing new at all. I'm ready for it to end so I can go back into a public dungeon and not have it look like grand central.
On a side note I have been able to do a lot of pickpocketing uninterrupted so should easily get the achievement for fencing a million gold worth of goods before the event ends. So I guess that is a good thing.

I assume that ZOS has a reason for doubling up the event, possibly that people will rush to do Clockwork City with the exp buff active. However, I confess that I'm not sure I won't just continue plunder skull farming and hold off on CWC.

I'm debating what to do - go farm motifs in CWC while they're still worth gold, or just have fun with the festival and wait for the bugs in CWC to be worked out.

Yes, taken 2 characters to 50, well 48 but that is an random normal.
Think i check out the CWC then level the remaining three if I bother.

Of course they are doing it at the same time. In fact I would put this down as the reason that the witches festival didn't start on the 13th like it is supposed to.

With the length of the festival the only way they could lever the festival crowds into the DLC (and vice versa) was by delaying the start of the festival.

They wanted to draw some people back (by using the festival) and then try and keep them in the game afterwards (CWC).

I don't mind getting CWC during the festival. I have many things that needs a trait change and need to start farming those stones asap

I want the DLC, but I won't be getting it until after the festival ends. I don't want to feel like I have to rush through the story-line for the sake of maximizing my double XP time.

I still suspect that they were not planning on doing the festival this year until everyone started talking about it. The whole situation feels rushed and just copied over from last year, considering clockwork being released in several hours.

Glass half empty: ZOS are doubling down on the players who tune in for festivals and the players who return for new DLC by combining the two, to push DLC sales and to distract players away from other big game releases this month.

Glass half full: ZOS recognises that people grew sick of the (extended) Witches Festival last year, and are throwing Clockwork City into the mix to give people new content to explore, instead of just grinding old content ad nauseum.

But I just want to know, what's in the glass?

To be fair, the only reason the event was longer last year because it was extended due to the plunder skull achievement being bugged.

Is this the most entitled collection of players of any game? It’s not ZOS fault people play this game for 50+ hours a week. Maybe if y’all did other things with your life there would still be stuff to collect/do during events like this. Otherwise, stop complaining.

No, pretty sure that the festival was planned in advance, as was the CWC release date. They don't care that they overlap, but CWC takes development priority over Witches Festival. Dark matter is at play here.

dont worry, probally december (new lifes festival ....and maybe winter festival) and 2 times around april again (jester festival and 3 years eso) also u dont need all exp boost as lvling goes fast

Well, the weekend over, i got my main, cp406, to 100 plunderskulls with a lot of madness, i got 250000 Góld, the last 11000 gold with the Help of fellow Guildies, im now the proud Owner of the Witches Hut(awesome, 400 Items can be used there), now im playing today and maybe tommorow very calmly CWC, when it is finally Live on PC NA, then i still got some Days to get my second Toon from Lvl36 to 50, i did 2 hours with my second toon on Saturday, got him from Lvl 31 to 36, so shouldnt be to hard, incl psy ambrosia he has 150 % xp buff, also got enought crown gems from useless stuff in crates, so, i could get some scrolls, then he has 250 % xp buff, that would even last for my baby toon, lvl 21 And, with skulls, as of last night, still not dropping from bosses in craglorn and todays downtime, i expect to see 1 to 2 Days added to the Event, all good

Kinda, they really shoulda started the event 1 day earlier to account for it. On the other hand I will get twice the abysmal exp morrowind offered during this time xD

And yes its probably part of the reason.

As said I'm pretty sick of dolmens and public dungeons, having two characters to gear up now.
