New Maelstrom Title

This may come off as a bit passive-aggressive, but can we get a new title for the group of players who are able to beat VMA without dying but not without disconnecting or crashing?

In the past, when trying to get a sharpened inferno staff, I had a few no death runs with a disconnect/crash somewhere in the middle, and it was no big deal.

However, when I was actually trying to get the flawless achievement yesterday, ESO crashes (on ps4) on the final boss up on the top platform. I tried to sign back in hoping that I would still have a chance, but I was at 14/15. I finished the round (without dying) anyway, but damn it burns.

Is there really no way to allow for one server/game crash?

I'm curious as to why consoles seem to have such an issue disconnecting.
I do hope that everyone is using an Ethernet cable, because I know that my modem does weird things with the wifi signal that causes me to dc sometimes while playing on my PS4.

I do use an ethernet cable, yes. The funny thing is that everything has been running very smoothly for me recently.

It was a ps4 bluescreen. I tried turning my xbox on and off as per the instructions from ZOS, but the problem of being disconnected on a flawless run in the final round on my ps4 still remains.

I've run vMA twice in my magplar and second run had a crash when leaving 7th arena... still ended up with 15/15 and top40 weekly score...

I started a post in the forums and nobody bothered to reply, as from the games perspective, crashing = leaving and you edned up dying, that is not a flawless run.

P.S. That run was the last time I bothered with vMA. Total around 40 runs and got all weapons...

Unfortunately, that leads to awkward situations like, whoops I died, time to yank the ethernet cable from my ps4

And I think I can see your problem. When your PS4 is giving you trouble, you should try resetting your PS4 rather than your xbox.

And I think I can see your problem. When your PS4 is giving you trouble, you should try resetting your PS4 rather than your xbox.

I'm not sure if you're missing my sarcasm or if I'm missing yours, but I was only making fun of the suggestion from ZOS to reset my xbox when I sent a message on my ps4.

I had gotten so close til a damned fire spinner in the 8th stage got me cause she wouldnt get bashed.. damn bug at the time..

but I did get the flawless achievement on may 22nd, 2017. Hours just before morrowind release!

Yeah, I totally agree. Farming a content that much less than 1% of game population is able to complete only to get that *** awful bow required by every stamina PVE setup, that gives a mere 4k DPS boost is better left for the noobs. All hail gold farming!

You know that those % numbers are very misguiding right?? Those numbers include all players that ever created an account and logged in to the game (I only think console has that kind of achievement %). So those who just tried ESO for free during a week/weekend are also included. All bot/fake accounts are also included..

Yes, I do know. I'm playing both on PC/EU and PS4/EU (we even share one trading guild, if your in-game handle is the same as your forum name). Still, in many guilds I'm in, there is like 5-10 people out of 500 that have ever done vMA (or are even remotely interested in trying). So 2-3% tops (considering, that out of players that have never joined any guild pretty much no one has ever completed vMA, it might actually be lower). Not really much. Just consider a typical guild and how hard it is to get a decent vet trial team - most people just ain't interested or ain't good enough.

Anyway, the exact percentage was not the point.

PS. In trial oriented guilds and some pvp oriented guilds, pretty much everyone has flawless on their characters.
