Opened about a hundred skulls so far and still not a runebox.

Am I unlucky or are they really rare?

    I got both new masks last night, in way under 100 skulls.

    Last year, I didn't find the mask until the very last day. Its just RNG

    I got a new one on the very first plunder skull...nada after that...about 250 opened...

    Seems drop rate was nerfed... I got about 6 of each last year...

    I'm at 200 skulls and I've gotten four runeboxes - all 4 of them the thicketman mask. Beginning to wonder if different masks drop in different areas.

    I'm only about 15 in, and I just found the scarecrow mask
    received a 2nd scarecrow mask at 20.

    I haven’t seen any of the old mask being linked. Makes me think those have even a lower drop rate

    Come to think of it, you’re correct. I can’t recall seeing anyone link the older masks. Only the newer ones.

    Hmmm... Now you’ve got me thinking... Didn’t I read somewhere that the older masks had an increased drop-rate compared to the newer masks? I’m pretty certain I read that that the other day. And it was a ZOS post as well.

    I really like the branches of various kinds....I have been wanting more plant bits for Broken Branches home.
    Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
    Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
    Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
    Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.

    Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
    House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
    Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis

    I'm at about 250 skulls with 5 thicketman and 1 hollowjack mask.

    Anyone getting the pumpkin or scarecrow mask drops anywhere?
