Impossible to do pledges

Why does no one do pledges anymore? It’s impossible to find a group. I ask ppl in all my guild and zone chat and nobody wants to do them. So I que up in activity finder and I don’t get a group. I sat in que for one hour today ( 63 minutes to be exact) before I just decided to get off. A WHOLE FREAKIN HOUR. I’m on Xbox NA. But I just don’t understand why nobody does pledges anymore.

This is no problem for PC EU o.o But what type of guild(s) are you in? Might be hard to find mates for a pledge if you`re in pvp guild(s). Idk, that`s the only reason I can come up with

Everyone ques in as dps. Make your toon a tank and you will be qued in 3 mins usually. But beware of low cp toons.

I think the queue for healers and tanks are much faster than if dps.
I think finding people shouldn't be an issue...other reasons for pledges though?

How about being loaded into a random with random CP100's, heal, shield, and support the hell out of the three of them only to be removed from the group mid dungeon for no reason....like wtf. Let's hope they just wanted to bring in their "buddy" for a four man CP100 -_-

i don't think it makes much sense to ask people to do the same thing over and over again...more incentives need to be added or something super good that takes like a year to grind or something like that.

Stuff will be alot worse with those things comming up. Everyone wants a fast run to optimize grinding those stones, resulting in more kicks of low cp players.

They will also be making a CP160 requirement to do vet dungeons in group finder.
But I'm guessing even CP 160 wont be enough for the 660 players that want a fast run....

I have a tank whos only purpose is to do pleadges.

That's why i either run them solo or with guild mates when i'm on my DPS char(s). I haven't used the finder in many months.

Honestly, a bunch of friends of mine are even having trouble finding something for groupfinder. As -tanks-.

Either the community has gone down like hell, who wants to even do these things, or the group finder has serious issues.

Sometimes the Q is long. Other times you can leave and re join the Q after the half hour mark. On my dps the leavining and rejoining around that time (I usually wait 40 mins just cuz) works often enough that this is the method I use.

The leaving/rejoining can get you a Q within 5 mins. PC NA.

PC/EU it doesn't take too long to find a group even as a DD. If you're a healer, most of the time you find one in less than 10 seconds.

Mostly the problem is the general lack of rewards from pledges. Seriously, the only reason I go do pledges any more is to get soul gems to rez people in other content.

People really only do pledges to get monster helms and shoulders and to level undaunted. besides that, there really is no reward that would be good enough to run them once u get the gear and skilline leveled up

and most good players queue with their friends or guildies, so that removes a lot of players from the queue. most people you get matched with are usually pretty bad but i have gotten some decent pugs

If you haven't found one after 25-30 minutes it's a good chance you need to just reset the activity finder as it will let you sit in there forever sometimes if you let it

The activity finder is broken plain and simple. Sometimes I will have sat in queue for 15 minutes and then I will pass crown to the other person I am running with, Have them queue, and we get instant ready checks. I always hard reset my Xbox before using the activity finder as that sometimes helps but the fact remains that it is an utterly ineffective tool for trying to get into a dungeon. Just one of the many things that they either cannot or have no desire to fix.

This, farm dolmen in zerg with resto staff or sword and board you get skills fast,

I have 100+ unused keys. I stopped doing them because I already had all the sets in ideal traits. I only do them from time to time for a couple of weeks when I have a new character that needs undaunted and the quest skill points. But I only run with guild mates. A year of PuG-ing was enough.

Heaps of people will be levelling new toons now that double XP is here for witches fest. Heaps to be made for first time dungeon clears + those undaunted passives being chased. Then transmute will drop and the momentum will continue.

PC/EU not really a problem to do pledges as a dps, i just queue on the dungeon finder for a pug group and do them on 3 characters every day on vet mode and waiting time is around 15 minutes. Also nice to see more and more players have decent cp to make them easier/faster.

I doubt any of that will change much. In fact it’ll likely make it worse if anything.

Event Double XP means grinding Skyreach or secret spots to level up very quickly, not group content with pugs. That or farming Plunder Skulls.
The Undaunted Skill line is leveled quickly with guildies by completing no death/speed run/HM challenges, not group finder pugs runs.
Transmute Stones mean players will farm short dungeons with guildies, or occasionally seek quick runs with group finder but then kick anyone not up to par in order to maximize efficiently, since that’s why they are running the dungeon in the first place.

Seems like lots of lowbies getting kicked from the groups awaits next patch.

You must be playing during off-peak hours (when everyone is at work or sleeping). It's usually very easy to find groups.

People will also be running dungeons more in a few days when transmutation stones arrive.

To tell you the truth, most of the older vet dungeons we have done so many times that we are getting tired of them. And as a older player, most of the newer vet dungeons are so ridiculously difficult, I don't want to bother with them. But hey, that's just me

It's not just you.

They did over-do it with those new Horns of the Reach dungeons. You almost have to be a masochistic to run those thing on veteran mode through the group-finder.

Hopefully they will tone them down a bit in the near future. Because I believe most people play video games to relax and have fun. Not to be put through a living hell.

Become a tank and you'll find a group whenever you want.

ETA: Or make friends with a tank.
