Runeboxes can't be deposited in your Bank?

Game won't allow stashing the runebox i got in the bank for when the price goes up over time, but its item description says it can be put into Guild Banks?

You're really gonna make me lug it around (and others) on a character until I can sell it?

I think it was one of the silliest ideas on ZoS' part but no, you can't deposit runeboxes. From any of the festivals in fact. The only way to move them around is to temporarily place them in a guild bank and pick them up on a different character or email them to a friend and have them return the mail to you so you can grab them in a different character.

Can't even lock em so you dont accidentally use one while going through your inventory too quickly. Not going to open one for my own account since i dont care about having the mask, i care much more about padding my bank gold for once.

I'm fairly sure you cannot open a runebox which you already own. It's going to give you an error message stating you already have that collectible on your collection.

Is this new, I recall last year this wasn't the case for motif and masks. (asking)

I have so many Cherry Blossom boxes that I decided I'd sacrifice one to test. It didn't allow me to open it because I already had the collectible in my collection.

Perhaps it's a feature they added between the witches and jesters festivals? I wouldn't know.

Of course you can't open something you already know. It's always been this way, it's not like your gonna learn 2 of the same mask. What's they point in that, it's either you have it or you don't. If you know it just sell it, or hold it until the price goes back up.
