Anyone losing all game settings repeatedly?

This is the second time I have lost all settings; have to reset brightness at start, agree to all TOS/EULA/etc, then reset ingame settings, all addons etc. Even while playing, when I switch characters all addons will be enabled, when I had half of them turned off because that character doesn't need them.
Is there a "wipe it all everytime" setting I missed?

✭Not I. No problems in three years. Sounds like admin rights to the files that hold all that information do not have "write" ability. Hmm..maybe try running ESO in Administrator mode?0 -

✭✭✭I run as administrator (bad practice but ESO is on a gaming-only computer). Windows10 is really picky though. I have changed permissions on all ESO folders, maybe "update without telling you because hey MIcrosoft knows better" reset them last night.0 -

Ok, then it likely IS an update. Windows10 doesn't let you schedule updates, because obviously Microsoft knows better. Crashed while tanking vSO once because of an update, then had to sit for an hour while the stupid update ran.
TLDR; Windows10 blows. Too bad it's what this rig came with so I can't downgrade.0 -

✭✭✭✭✭I have had it happen twice in 3 years. And I feel for you OP, I really do. Setting up all those addons is a multi-hour affair, and that is for just one character.
I have learned to backup my addon settings using Minion. Although I don't backup my usersettings.ini file, it's not a bad idea either. User settings don't take nearly so long to redo though, kind of like going to PTS where they get erased every time.
For myself, it occurred the second time during a system crash. The first time I don't recall.
