Is it just me, or do the numbers on this new set seem kinda weak? The 5set bonus seems like it deals really mediocre damage, so the only point I see in the set is the Physical Pen, except there are better sources of Physical Pen as well...

Thats an odd 5pc...

But it basically does 12k damage over 12 sec, but in 4 bursts. And those hits are random if youre fighting more than one mob? It may be okay against bosses, but still it sounds bad in general. Like a harder hitting Deadly Cloak. I hate the delay between hits.

I have been testing this set on my stamblade with 5pc Hundings and velidreth set.....I'm not too sure what to think of it. Seems like a fun set to use when you're just skysharding and questing.

The procs broke your own cloak last time I tested it - might be worth trying out in PvP on a stamblade if they fix that.

Depending on what other 5 pc set it's paired with, it could be pretty entertaining on a stamina Warden. You wouldn't automaticly need to use Hundings, Spriggans is also another good option.

It does 16k damage over 12 sec, not 12k. Every 3 sec it does 4k. 12 ÷ 3 = 4. 4k × 4 = 16k...js.

I Heart my crow friends. I run this on my Stamblade just for them. Also, its really funny when I BoW someone and it procs lol. They came just to feast.

They should have just made it 1333.333 per second. Some weird design minds....

My stam warden wears it with shackebreaker, bear ulti and shadowrend monster set. He is in it as it was what I had and it's cool having my own mini army when everything procs.

If NMG and Sunder are indeed nerfed into pointlessness next patch that penetration may become more desirable.

My NB wears 5 Piece UD, 4 Legacy, and three red mountain and it gets alot of damage. Sometimes ill go 5 5 2 so i get the rm proc too.

In the recent streamer play testing for Summerset Zos just got finished with, one of the Devs told Xynode he uses this build.
If you get the gear in impen, works really good in PvP, too.
Just like with any other proc set, depends what you use with it..

would be nice if they added an animation that if the bird gets the kill shot a whole flock of them descend and pick away at the dead body.

Well, I tried it on my archer pve build (stamsorc), its good for the penetration and sorcs bonuses to physical damage, it also crits (strangely). Unfortunately, 12m rangeis not that attractive for a bow build, so I switched it for Red Mountain. For a standard melee stam build, it probably works alright.

Als, if a boss has adds, theres a chance that the bird flies to the add instead of the boss if its close enough.

I use it on my stamsorc (who coincidentally is very bird-themed). The birds can crit, and I've had each one crit for up to 10k self buffed (I'm sure it can go higher with trials buffs, I'm always too busy in trials to notice the damage), I usually pair it with automaton or powerful assault depending on the group.

Using those numbers, if I got lucky and had all 4 birds crit in one cast, it'd end up dealing 2500 DPS from the 5 piece. Normally I figure it's closer to 2k DPS, which is pretty inline with a lot of other proc damage sets.

Obviously the coolest bits about this set are the extra penetration and the fact that you have birds flying around you. It may not be the best set around but it's certainly not the worst.

I used this with kragh and red mountain for a while. That gets you two sharpened pieces and all 3 procs were entertaining. Hardly meta, but a lot of fun.
