The amount of people who play eso now

The amount of people who play ESO has really gone down? When I go to Rawlha there is just usually 10 people maximum and craglorn usually the same too. Even on Fridays/weekends is usually that amount, and I always record when I play, so few people now then before. Even in PVP 10 people on the other team is considered attacking a keep is considered a large amount of people. by people in zone.

Could be that you're put into lower populated channels of the 'megaserver'

As far as the PvP thing, I personally wouldn't class 10 people as a large attack but maybe your platform is just generally less populated, idk. I play on PC EU and don't experience either of the things you do

There’s only arround 7k people avg on Steam for the last 2 or 3 months. Before it was 10k people avg. The game need to go on sale or something...

I don't understand why anyone would play through Steam if they don't need to.
Is there some kind of advantage I don't know about?

I personally stopped playing cause I'm interested in PvP and it's been unsatisfying for me for long time. I hate farming sets in dungeons, i hate ridiculous proc sets.
I'm in a mood for some eso once in a while, but when i turn it on it's like "yea, still same crap"

I only PvE but haven't noticed any reduction in the number of players on the PC EU server. Of course, each DLC or Chapter adds more content and that thins the population out as it's spread across more areas including, for example, Vvardenfell where everyone likes to complain about the lag in Vivec City due to the number of players and then they complain that nobody is playing the game any more  !

As I write this there are 11,416 playing ESO on Steam. However, comparatively few PC players use it for ESO especially the veterans as it wasn't an option at launch, and two-thirds of the playerbase aren't on the PC in the first place.

Most players buy ESO via kinguin or something similiar, why bother with Steam when there is absolutely 0 reasons to use it for ESO...

Bought my game through Steam, never played through Steam. I'd say I'm certainly not the only one so those numbers don't really prove a lot. If anything, they prove less people play through Steam now than they did before.

I see people everywhere when I play, usually from morning to noon, and that's not even the prime time.

Seems like there's a healthy population to me.

Besides overall population size, there are two other factors reducing Rawl'kha crowding:
    • Housing
    • Vivec City

Many crafters moved to Vivec City, because the bank is outside, and consumable crafting stations are closer. The laggers spamming spells on the rock are still in Rawl'kha, though.

Vvardenfell has moderate traffic; any tomb full of urns or city with pockets to pick has people around even late at night.

PVP currently has 3x as many campaigns as it needs, so everyone's very spread out; ZOS said they're going to adjust that.

I suggest you start a new alt and go to the Coldharbour area just after character creation. Stand at the door up the stairs to first area where you see other players and watch how they some through the door. Theres a lot still...

    I definately notice the reduction.

It seems that the people who do not wish to see it never will, and those who simply take things as is tend to come to a consensus it is slowing down.

But as dd we still waiting hrs with the groupfinder...
    Groupfinder:
The worst part is when it finally puts you in a group, your healer turns into a werewolf, your tank has 14k HP and the dps is heavy armor, using a restro staff and a two handed sword on the backbar. Then comes the 15 minute penalty before the cycle starts anew.

    Rulz of Morrowind:
    • The first rule of Morrowind is: You do not talk about Morrowind.
    • The second rule of Morrowind is: You do not talk about Morrowind.
    • Third rule of Morrowind: Someone yells NDA stuff, uploads images, streams, the game is over.
    • Fourth rule: only invited players can test.
    • Fifth rule: one invite at a time, fellas.
    • Sixth rule: crying or bashing on pts.
    • Seventh rule: NDA will go on as long as they have to.
    • And the eighth and final rule: If this is your first invite at Morrowind, you have to play.

To be honest, I am simply tired of grinding to upgrade a certain type of gear just to have Zenimax nerf it.

    TIRED OF IT.

If they are going to do this, they need to allow me to break down pieces and get back ALL materials used to make it.

Or perhaps the people who are determined to see a reduction aren't willing to acknowledge that there are more places to go and more things to do compared with earlier in the year. A new zone, two new dungeons, a new form of PvP, all these things mean people being more spread out.

    Don't even try bro

Some have been playing the funeral dirge since the game launched and will be here playing the same dirge in eight years, you can give every reason why they are wrong...and they will just see doom.

No it's really really dead this time
No stop laughing I'm serious this time!!!

I personally don't give two figs if the game has 5k or 5 million players...I don't see anything coming down the line that is going to hold my attention like ESO does and the folks I play with feel the same way. Honestly if "Dying" meant I wouldn't have to listen to some of the constant cry babies on this forum (which will never happen btw) I'm all for death.

So gazing into my crystal ball I see the same complainers complaining on the forum eight years from now, and I'll enjoy referencing this post to make a point from time to time.
