ZOS create a personality to let us walk around with torches.

I'd call it the "Adventurer" personality. Just like the book and beer mug personality you would run around with the torch prop. It'd be useful for lighting dark areas so we don't have to spam almexia mommento since you made mage light toggle. Plus it makes a lot of sense and adds deep rp/immersion. Maybe add a "chopping wood" emote as well.

Y'know I play with gamma turned way down, and was somewhat disappointed when I learned there wasn't a "Catseye" potion (or whatever it was called) or the ability to carry torches. Yes, theres collectables that give off light but how sweet would it be to light up a torch or pop a night eye potion. (Khajiits vamps and ww's should have night-eye already)

Yeah the ESO Graphics Extender being used along with Votens Darker Nights really makes the game feel like Skyrim/Oblivion so you need to spam Almexia ball of light to see things at night time.

If the mage light ability was still perm then this wouldn't be a problem.

While I will not comment on the initial reasons for the bans, (which I suspect is behaviour more than anything). Banning somebody just for dying robes white is just the sort of pathetic SJW PC nonsense that the world needs to rid itself of. I wear all white Moth Priest robes on my sorcerer, and if somebody takes "offense" to that, well too bad. EDIT: To clarify this is because he is based on Gandalf from LOTR.

That said, the fact that you can't dye the belt on the Moth Priest Robes is annoying as it's white, so it really sticks out with most other colours.


Anyhow, I agree a torch personality would be really useful. I use a re-shade and some dungeons are VERY dark.

For PC, the Darkest Night addon is really cool making nighttime really dark, rather than gloomy.

Use of lighting is really nice with this But, would not mind to see this (Adventurer) personality type!

I didn’t even know there was a darker nights add on till I read this thread. So I just went and tried it. But with my current reshade I literally couldn’t see a thing!

I may have to try a different reshade just to check Darker Nights out.

One of my RP friends complains to me about this all the time. Literally any time he sees me playing this game he complains to me about the lack of RP support.

Then again, he would also love to personally execute irl anyone with a banker toon in a slutmog or anyone who *** jumps through town, so you may not want to take his opinion too seriously.

Doesn't last long enough and the light doesn't brighten things around you enough. It's better used to let people know you're an important player, like say healer or tank.
