Tips for learning VMA on a stamplar

My three levelled toons are a magplar healer, dk tank (doesn't see the light too often), and a stamplar dps. They're all geared and used in endgame pve. I only recently made the stamplar so thought I'd start practicing vma now that I have a dps toon. I get around 25k self buffed with him (redguard, VO, hundings, veli).
Front bar dual weild: jabs, potl, rending slashes, deadly cloak, repentance, flawless dawnbreaker.
Back bar bow: endless hail, poison injection, caltrops, rearming trap, vigor, ballista (or crescent sweep).
I was wondering if the numbers I'm hitting are high enough for vma, and how I can optimize for learning it. I hear that 2hander backbar instead of bow can be good for learning, but don't really know any good, specific, learning vma builds for stamplars.
Any input is greatly appreciated! I've been reading guides, watching vids, and practicing on normal, so am quite hyped

For learning I'd say 2H is better on classes without execute. Reverse slice destroys closely packed mobs, especially weaved with HA. Also brawler is pretty good for damage mitigation. Rally gives you some nice heals and also brutality allowing you to use cheap dropped pots. Sustained DPS is not that important. Knowing the spawns and burst is more important.

I don't have stamplar, but I run stam DK there. I use 5 Hunding 5 VO 1 Slimercraw with Dubious Camoran Throne. My char is Nord so it has 9% health bonus and 6% mitigation. Also 1/5/1 gives me another 8% health. I sit at about 16.4K. If he were stamplar I would run:
Front: Reverse Slice | Biting Jabs | Brawler | Power of the Light | Rally || Flawless Dawnbreaker
Back: Poison Injection | Endless Hail | Rearming Trap | Shuffle | Resolving Vigor || Ballista

    <--flawless stamplar.

The biggest thing I can tell you is that dps is oversold regarding vma. Your gear and setup is absolutely solid. You might have heard 2h in general is better for vma, tbh. It sinks up well with VO with the battle rush passive, and brawler and rally can literally be the difference between winning and losing.

If it's your first time, set the bar for 20k health and put vigor on front bar- vma gets laggy a lot and bat swapping won't go off all the time.

Other than that, practice and patience. Good luck!

Well, rune focus looks good at first glance, but it's really bad in vMA since you need to move a lot. I barely get any use of channel focus on my Magicka Templar. Repentance is good in rounds where there's a lot of trash to repent but in boss rounds, except maybe the 5th arena, where you have 3-4 bodies at each island, there is almost nothing to repent. You can use that instead of Vigor where you can.

I have flawless on my stamplar and its probably one of the hardest classes to do vma with.

Since stamplars dont have access to major brutality, i suggest rocking weapon power pots, they are cheap and will really help your dps.

You have VO which is the important part, and velidreth is good but I found a lot of success with slimecraw for minor berserk aka 8perc more damage.

Vigor and relentence help with heals and sustain
stamplars are really strong so it shouldnt be too much of an issue, you just really have to watch your health, i recommend at least 18kplus

Meh Stamplar with dual wield all the way in my opinion.

You can get by with vigor back or front bar with Rapids and blood craze slash still carry the bow for poison inject and endless hail the other spots you can generally fill with whatever.

Rush often has got me into trouble too many times to count as it often puts you in sticky situations regarding aoe damage or environmental with shitty rng but that's me.

Absolutely do able with 2h but I'm a sucker for dual wield on any Stam classes

I've been maining a stamplar since forever, it's definetly my favorite of the classes in the game, so I salute you for your choice - even if you've probably made things harder for yourself by choosing it as the class to start vMA with.

Your bars are setup just as mine, so imo, that's good. Although, with no penetration sets, you should probably use the lover mundus. Other than that I'd advice you to abuse the heck out of the sigils while learning. A well-timed d. sigil can trivialize a lot of the encounters, regardless of class. Just as eating healing sigils like candy will negate the usefulness of "Rally". It also removes the need to go "above 20k health" as people suggest. Other than that I'd just recommend learning the stages and work on improving your dps, because the faster you kill stuff, the less time they have to kill you.

For first time I would put vigor gront bar and go with dual/bow and take venom arrow for first couple of clears.

20k hp is very good for melee classes specially while learning

For learning you want to have survivability. This forces you to learn the mechanics instead of dpsing through them. It helps in the long run. DPS is not as important as burst damage. 20k+ health.

I prefer 2h/bow. Rally is great, as has been mentioned. Reverse slice, great. Critical charge is pretty useful, although brawler is good too. You want vigor too.

On my flawless run (stamDK) I used hundings + pariah, with a single monster piece and both 2h+bow were vMA. I had major resolve/ward up at all times.

Well i have just 4th succesfull run on my stamplar and best setup for me in last try was DW/bow setup 5x briarheard + 5x VO + krag moster set ( full divines) lover mundus stone and 2k penetration from CP with PoL active i mas siting at 9k pene with this. and main bar bitting, PoL, rearming trap, blazing shield and deadly cloak flawless dawmbreker as ulti, when ofbar is poiisn arrow, endles hail, caltrops, vigor and repetence + blaista as ulti. and blazing shield i find rly helpful, bc it still do good amout of dmg and even at my 16k HP still offer lots of survivability, and what is best it dont affect my stamina pool
