Why am I being punished for buying furniture with crowns?!?

I’m having major housing inventory problems to the point of making the game un-enjoyable.

I have spent a lot of money on housing. I bought over 10 houses in the game and most of them were bought with crowns/furnished. All of these furniture items are bound to my account.

....And I have no where to store them.

3 of my houses are completely filled 600/items with spare furniture. I have random tables, dressers, rugs, statues etc just stacked in the front yards. I’ve tried to keep things organized, so I keep all my shrubbery and trees in one house, and all furniture items in another, etc. But it’s turned decorating from a fun activity into a laborious chore.

I’m not complaining about storage of armor/pots/etc. I have eso plus and the craft bag has been one of the changes I’ve appreciated the most. But if I can store unlimited rekutas and tempers in my craft bag, why can’t I store furniture that I bought with crowns? I have spent a ridiculous amount of money on this game, and yet I am being punished for it because all of these items are taking up valuable space. It’s a hassle to transfer items from one house to another.

And I refuse to destroy something I bought with real money just for the sake of freeing up space.

Do mounts take up space in your inventory? No. Do pets take up space in your inventory? No. Do costumes and momentos take up inventory space? No, they do not. All of these items are bought with crowns.

When I’m in my house decorating, most of my favorite housing items are in my bank/on my character for easy selection and placement. However, if I want to run a dungeon a few times to farm for some gear, I have to hurry and dump all my furniture items out of my inventory and into another house. There often isn’t enough time to properly put all my items away into their proper storage houses, so if my current house is full (which they usually are) I have travel to a random house to dump everything. Sometimes I have to travel to multiple houses as they are all getting full. This takes time and effort. After the dungeon/group activity I have to decon gear, then go around and try and pick up all my discarded furniture items in order to start decorating again. Switching back and forth between pvp/pve’ing and decorating has turned into a hassle.

My inventory is always full. My bank is always full. The majority of these items are crown bought furniture.

I go to put a telvanni lamp on a table and I can’t find the lamp. I travel to 8 different houses looking for it. I find it, but my inventory is full so I have to dump a few furniture items first.

And why am I forced to use 3 houses I paid for with crowns, for nothing else but storage? It’s a waste of 3 houses. I want to finish decorating those houses, but I don’t have anywhere else to put the furniture, so I can’t.

Please ZOS, can you create a furniture assistant? Or a furniture bag similar to the craft bag? How about introducing a new tier, eso gold plus, which for double the cost of eso plus and doubles the inventory/Housing limits across the board. Something. Anything.

Please help.

/end rant

I think adding an unlimited furniture bag (free with ESO+) could solve many of your issues. I'm surprised we don't have one yet. If people can't store furniture, they can't buy more. Don't you want people buying things ZOS? I'm not sure why it gives them such sadistic joy to create these inventory issues. Most other game companies still do that but at least let you throw money at them to ease the problem.

    So completely agree with this.

For heavens sake @ZO$ please just stop making life for house owners so damned difficult. We bring you a shedload of money from buying homes and furniture, so please do the decent thing and at least raise the furniture item cap, and give us a furniture bag to store items in.

I completely agree too. I also have furniture in my alt's bags and then, of course, I'm sure I bought/made an item and can't find it anywhere. I was tempted to destroy some items, but just couldn't because I either bought them with crowns or made them. The furniture bag is a great idea. I was so frustrated in the beginning before the craft bag which is such a luxury to me now, it makes eso+ totally worthwhile even just for that.

I would honestly have to agree that increasing furniture caps would be awesome but the furniture bag thing... never thought of that but I honestly would have to agree with you on that. The game needs this.

I agree! When details for Homestead were released, I was dismayed to learn that furniture would be treated as regular inventory items. It would solve a lot of problems if they were treated as a separate category of items - separate from regular inventory. We'd have a furniture storehouse where we could store all the excess furniture, that could be accessed when we're decorating.

They wouldn't want to make them collectibles, since you can put out the same collectible in all of your homes, so they have to be treated as individual items. But, I wish they wouldn't have made them inventory items. But, now that they are, I would hope they could still come up with some sort of furniture storehouse where we could put our extras. If they have to make it ESO+, then fine (I am ESO+, so that's not an issue), but I really wish it were a solution that was available to everyone. Or, at the very least, give non-ESO+ players a chance at some relief by purchasing a limited storehouse from the CS and give an unlimited one to ESO+.

Agreed. It's getting damn irritating, spending money on housing and always getting a kick in the nuts for one reason or another, from items slots number to this. A furnishing bag is the most logical feature and it's NEEDED, should have been made available from the start.

Couldn't agree more. It gets even more absurd when you consider the fact that housing are almost purely for vanity, they serve almost no function in the game. Yet you still have to waste valuable and otherwise very usable storage space for the furniture, even when you bought it with crowns...

Maybe if ZOS could make a storage-basement upgrade for house where you could store all your furniture crap. Or what about your very own oblivion plane for furniture storage? I'm sure dear old uncle Sheo would find that terrific. Perhaps they could even throw in a small Sheo bonus quest for that purpose :)
