Anyone have a pic of the Elk in-game? The crown store art is always misleading.

You do know that you can preview the mount and pet in the crownstore, right? Not just the picture but the actual things.

Hey smart guy. Im at work, i live out of town, and I refuse to use credit cards for online purchases. So its beneficial for me if anyone can post a pic. So i dont have to waste hours driving back and forth.

Probably the same bug as the other pony. They're "working on it™".

I searched online before posting about pictures. Nobody had uploaded them yet so I asked a simple question and I received the typical response you get on these forums. Zero help, just a load of bull thrown at me.

Ummm...yeah, not a big fan of these out of the blue "Surprise! Limited-time today-only offer!" sorta situations. Mainly because it might not give me (or someone else) enough time to prepare in advance if I (or someone else) want to buy the mount (as in this was NOT listed in the Crown Store Showcase) if I actually do want to buy either of them (or both).

I would really like an explanation of why limited time sales are a thing. Surely companies recognize that people get their paychecks at different times of the month, or that they have bills due at different times of the month, and that there are perfect times for someone to spend money and then there are times when you just *can't*, when if it was a week or two later, you could. Why cut out so many potential buyers that cannot make a purchase JUST because of timing? What is gained by doing that? The product isn't perishable, it's not going to go bad if they keep it around for a month. So I really do not grasp the purpose of limited time sales. If someone in an actual professional marketing capacity could explain this to me, and not just people guessing or saying something bitter or "that's just how it is", I would really appreciate it.

I'm no marketing professional, but the way I've seen this sort of deal explained is that it encourages people to impulse buy, whether they can really afford it or not. The manufactured scarcity also allows them to jack up the price to obscene levels.

If they were to give people longer to purchase these things, there is the likelihood that they might reconsider buying because, lets be honest, the pony and stag are not at all worth their price tags. In my opinion, you are an idiot if you buy either.

Congratulations ZOS, on once again proving how morally bankrupt you all are with these *** marketing practices.

I notice your pony art downplays the open mouth. That's misleading to people.
In actuality, the pony's mouth hangs open.

The stag is also a bit misleading, since in-game, you can't really see all that nice definition. At least, I couldn't. It's more like a big shadow than anything else, but some people may prefer that.

Actually, they did mention it. They just didn't say what was for sale, or how expensive it'd be:
There's one last secret brewing. This Frostfall, a rare celestial alignment will occur on Serpent 13 that the most superstitious in Tamriel call “Fatal Fredas." Some believe this day to be a portent of chaos and ill omen. What will it bring this time? None can know for certain, but all are watching and waiting… and so should you!

I think you need to learn how to budget...Unless you've had a huge crisis then you shouldn't have to wait till the next paycheck to afford $50 of anything.

Must be nice. Sometimes someone's budget for recreation is carefully calculated to fit into the rest of their life because, oh, I dunno, maybe they have a lot of medical expenses and other daily living costs that take priority over playtime. It would be cruel of me to say I hope you get to understand that on a personal level someday, so I won't.

I agree that the comment about learning how to budget was not nice. I once lived on a very tight budget with high college debt so I can understand. But, when I was in that situation, I often had to pass on purchases of video games or vanity items in games. My priority was on other things that were more tangible and important with my limited funds.

While I wish they did not do these limited time offers, the fact is that it is clearly profitable for ZOS. For every sale that they lost to someone like you, the probably make many more sales to people that impulse buy that might not have bought it if it was not limited time. ZOS has plenty of data on crown purchases for items not limited time and for items that are limited time. If that data pointed to limited time reducing sales they would have stopped doing it.

But, as long as the crown store remains for vanity and convenience items and not pay to win, I am OK with this. ZOS is a company and deserves to make a profit. I liked it when the game had a mandatory subscription, but it needed to go to the buy to play model to survive and have as many players as it does today.

    Why only for 1 day?

My wife and I have been waiting for well a year for a new stag and would buy it directlye, but were busy yesterday with "The Evil Within 2".

Which is a game of Bethesda / Zenimax too. (why was not pointed out on it? or generally pointed out early on it?)

As I said, we would have the opportunity to take it immediately, but this was taken from us on the basis of a diversion and lack of information policy created by Bethesda / Zenimax.

    : '(

    Remark:
I go to the official Elder Scrolls Online website every day (even yesterday). There was nothing.
We have seen this here only by chance, because it was linked to Facebook.

Where do we have to get information? And above all, how secure is it that not suddenly somewhere else the info is deposited?

And WHEN we get the next chance to buy it?

Bought the elk hoping to get some kinda walking effect or "thunder effect sounds when running.

"whose hooves drum the Blood Summons."

Got a black elk with a deep voice and some nice looking antlers...

Pretty disappointing in all especially for 4k crowns...

It’s Fatal Fredas! To celebrate, the Dire Pony pet and Great Dark Stag mount have arrived in the Crown Store for one day only. Don’t miss out! These will only be available until October 14 at 10am EDT.

When you always wanted a pony as a child and your parents wouldn't let you have one so you grew up bitter and tormented and became a dark cultist but now you can finally afford a pony. You can own your own (potentially evil) pony now for 1200 crowns, available today only.

    Great Dark Stag Mount
    ierx7nwojfx7.png
The Great Dark Stag is one of the five Aspects of Hircine, invoked as Uricanbeg, "whose hooves drum the Blood Summons." Note that your Riding Skill does not affect this mount's appearance. This mount is available in the Crown Store today only for 4000 crowns.

Weird I wonder how I missed this, I saw the pony but missed the stag somehow I would have bought 150 bucks in crowns if I had seen it.

I got basically no income thanks to being disabled but not enough to get disability, but my mother is kind enough to give me just enough spending money to be able afford ESO+. I save my crowns for things that I really want, which hasn't been a whole lot, but I really wanted both ponies and I had enough saved up. I could not afford the stag, but I'm still happy with my ponies. Spend less than what you earn so you have extra when you need it.

Got the Stag but now, looking at the promo pic, the look of the Stag on it is very misleading. Not only the Stag has no purple shades on its fur, but it has also no such glowing eyes. While the fur color is subjective and I'm fine with the pure black (that is now), I would gladly see these red glowing eyes...
