Un-nerf Veil of Blades and make NBs PVE necessary once again

Sad but true, there is no need to have NBs in a trial. Sorcs, DKs, Templars and even Wardens (arguably) are important and necessary to have in a well balanced trial group - but not NBs. Before Veil was nerfed (couple of times, I think) it was essential to have a couple of NBs in every trial. But it did overperform, hence the nerf. However, now that we have the detsro ulti (which is far more damaging than the original Veil), it seems that Veil could get a buff. More damage plus the 30% damage mitigation and long duration may make trial groups want to include NBs for DPS and survivability. And that would be swell.

    I think so. No one uses it atm, so it is pretty useless. And it wouldn’t affect PVP, so no balance issues there.

    It’s only weapon crit - so not sure if it is that valuable in your standard trial grp.

    I think high dps is enough of a reason to include nightblades in trials.

    Stamblades are actually trash, but Magblades with Lightning blockade can replace sorcs, very decent range dd needed in almost every trial. It would be good to see Veil buffed, but saying nightblades are not used is BS.

    NBs were suffering with Homestead but in Morrowind and HOTR they're doing just fine.

    I would love to see Nightblade ultimates become useful again, hell I would like to see all the ultimates become useful.

    It makes me sad that as magicka players you're pretty much locked to destro because it's great damage and you can do rotations whilst it goes.

    I wouldn't say trash, you just have to work 3 times as hard as a Sorc or a DK to get the same DPS. Their burst in execute phase is very noticeable, now that Jesus Beams are absent in raids for the most part. And gotta love that high AF uptime on War Machine with Soul Harvest. I'm not against buffs though, but it has to be something that doesn't affect the PvP burst, which is pretty hard, since the 3 class abilities that Stamblades rely on are also used in PvP.

    I'm seeing more stam and mag NBs in trials than magplars or mag DKs currently.

    Agree also it's easy to avoid pvp so n9 reason it shouldn't be good dmg

    Tbh in not fully optimized trial groups Veil of Blades is really nice ultimate for group survivality. Combined with Nova makes group almost immortal for some period of time.

    Well for spell crit you have sorcs. With this split it's good to have both NBs and Sorcs in the group.

    Yeah, you can succesfully play Stamblades even for leaderboards run, but if you want to be main DD, you just can't race stam dks, what actually has 3x easier rotation. You are not rewarded enough for a time that you spend to master your rotation and class. About War Machine, it is insanely good for nightblades but yeah... Again stamplars can utilize it equally good and they have potl aswell what can be hold at 80% uptime. That's depressing. I respect every stamblade main in this game, and I respect twice as much people like you who doesn't want to go easy route and still plays their class. But the truth is - in minmaxed pve trial there is no room for stamblade, and I always talk about that scenario. Anyway it is just less than 1% of the game, what means in every other content stamblade is pretty strong and viable.

    lol sorcs do far more dps. check out alcast or guillaime’s stuff on the pts.
