Maintenance for the week of June 23:
• PC/Mac: No maintenance – June 23
• PC/Mac: NA and EU megaservers for maintenance – June 25, 12:00AM EDT (4:00 UTC) - 6:00PM EDT (22:00 UTC)

Any future plans to make server specifics account bound?

I started ESO on NA server (beta version) and that was the only option back then... As many others I'm "stuck" on NA server playing from EU with 250+ ping. I invested too much time and money to just abandon my toons, items, gold, crafting research, collections, DLC packs, CP levels etc... and start from scratch. I could live without my toons, but it just doesn't make sense to "force" players to buy same items on both servers, same account, same person...

So, are there any future plans to make server specifics account bound?
Thank you.

They should sell server transfer tokens. For example, you pay X amount of crowns for a token that creates a copy of your character on the other server. The two accounts wouldn't be synced, the token would just create a character copy of your account at that specific point in time (similar to how PTS works).

Any option, even a paid one is better than nothing... I would take that offer in a heartbeat. This would also help balancing NA and EU mega servers player base.

I agree completely. For a game that requires such a huge time and money investment, they really do need to give people some option to transfer servers. The option I suggested should be possible with how the game is currently structured, but I'd be happy with any solution.

Honestly, i'm amazed a lot of stuff in this game ISN'T account wide. Cheevos for instance...but dyes are? Same with momentos, like...it needs some serious work arounds.

I can understand the lack of option for character transfers, this is not my first MMO I've played. But server bound DLC is just wrong and breaks the whole concept of DLC imho. Even though some people would be willing to start from scratch on diff server, not having the things you paid for with "real money" on that server is not very encouraging.

This one really ticks me off as well...

Except that is not how PTS works. In PTS, they wipe everything and overlay a full copy of either the NA or EU server. That is very different than copying just one account and ensuring its data and many unique keys are assigned new unique keys.

It is obviously feasible for them to develop, but it clearly is not something ZOS has ever indicated they have an intent to work on as far as I can tell. But, it would definitely take new development to provide such a service.

If I remember correctly, EU megaserver was introduced very late in the beta and it was still located somewhere in Texas for quite some time before migrating to EU. I'm SW developer IRL and I can understand the complexity of development requirements for some major changes, but if they planned to have multiple megaserver from the start, lack of option to transfer your account data, even one time transfer ... that I don't understand... even so, server bound DLC in any form is a bad form... just doesn't make sense to ask from the same person to buy something they already purchased.

I really hope there will be some option to migrate in the future, I would be willing to pay the price as many others for lower ping and better gameplay... like the game a lot, but PvPing with 250+ (on a good day) ping is just horrible, even PvE is bad during the weekends.
