Tabards

A nice alternative to the tabard would be nice , let’s face it people don’t like wearing them as it covers there armour .also why make them faction specific?
I think a banner like the imperial sewer bosses wear would be a great addition , maybe make it so only certain ranks in guilds can purchase the banner .. just a thought

I'd want a cape. Then I'd put the Daedric rune for 's' on it and pretend I'm Superman.

If i remember correct it have something to do with the engine. Because of that we also cant fly and dive

Well,we have motif, costumes and incoming transmog......

Also tabards were developed prior to One Tamriel and Tamriel Unlimited so.....its a very old concept

ESO started on the Hero Engine. It had since been brought in house but i see some similarities still. in any case, SWTOR had capes, so idk why ESO cant. (SWTOR was the premier Hero Engine game)

I just want the ability to represent my guild in the nameplate and not even have to wear a tabard. Give me a drop-down menu for "displayed guild name" and I'm happy.

I don't know, some of my guilds have a design the works really well with my armor. In fact, my armor would look pretty bare otherwise. But this is subjective to everyone of course.

Faction, like with characters, only matters in PvP. This is a mixed bag complaint, because guild politics being what they are in Cyrodiil, if you want to rep a guild it may be better to join a PvP guild in that faction.

Cloaks. I'm not sure why they couldn't be done. Like most things in ESO it could just be a pre-made animation and not a real-time rendered flowing cloth. I've seen cloaks attempted in other games that tried to make them dynamic then it just choked your system trying to render it.

Well, I can wear my cool tabard and my fugly armor. . . or I can wear a cool costume but not display my cool tabard.

I'd like some menu options so I can wear my tabard over my costume please.

I think the chair head guild banner is the way forward , would look awesome it would stand out more , but yeah acadian more options are definitely needed for out of date guild option

I honestly don't know if this is fact or not, but while ESO is indeed Hero Engine I seem to recall reading somewhere quite a few times that it was a heavily modified Hero Engine. Meaning, not really the same engine as SWTOR at all in a lot of respects. Perhaps that is why?
