If I had to choose between loading screens and smooth performance with a large number of players on my screen, I'd Alt+F4 and load back in all day.

Must have valid Internet connection. Also spent couple of days at my adoptive grandpa house. His Internet so awesome,
60 mb Download, 20 mb upload. Still have must have valid Internet connection even with his Internet in Cyrodiil... I'm starting to think nothing wrong with my 15 MB Download, 2 Mb upload. Starting to think it's the servers....

Agreed, the servers crapping themselves during primetime and on the weekends is the cause of 99% of Cyrodil's issues.

In order for them to correct the loading screen problem they would need the exact same knowledge that would have been required to prevent the problem in the first place. Which means that when they created the systems that handle the loading and/or splash screen they didn’t fully know what they were doing. So, do not expect a resolution anytime soon.

Loading screens happen. Just quit and restart and problem solved. Nothing can solve the lag and its constant.

at least being solo is a reliable fix for loading screens. still the biggest problem. in groups of up to 4, it was bearable, 5 is enough to make me want to eat my keyboard

Seems like its mostly a group thing. Its a very rare thing I get the problem.

Its more just general lag for me.

99% of the time I play in Sotha and if I see the loading screen for more than 30 seconds I just kill the game and log in back. It takes me 40 seconds, it is way faster than waiting for the never ending loading screen.

But rarely when I play in Vivec, it could be tricky to restart the game as you risk to be outside of Cyro when you are back and you have to queue again.

And still number one priority for me is the lag, which is way better in Sotha than in Vivec.

I did find that editing the content of this file to null, then setting it read only fixes much of the issue (ZO_Ingame.lua).

This file seems to save map filter variables, so you need to check the filter boxes often when opening the map to see everything.

File path should be: C:\Users\PC-Name\Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live\SavedVariables\ZO_Ingame.lua

Most loading screens have been unofficially linked to the "In the ground group member" bug. If anyone is in the ground for anyone else in the group, then loading screens become WAY more common for everyone.

If you join a group and see anyone in the ground RUN AWAY AND FIX IT IMMEDIATELY.

One free crown crate for every 30s+ loading screen in Cyrodiil! -> how to change an unpleasant experience in something cool. I guess pvpers deserve it! You would see many people in Cyrodiil aha. Would never be empty!

The #1 complaint for me is lag.

For all of you who have infinite load screens in cyrodiil, try to delete the file called ZO_ingame.lua in the SavedVariables folder. It worked some patches ago.
