RATE DUNGEON DIFFICULTIES, K THX

For the love of all that is good and pure in this world, RATE THE DUNGEONS.

There is a world of difference between Veteran Fungal Grotto and Veteran Bloodroot Forge, but there isn't anything to let people know that.

On veteran difficulty, the DLC dungeons are insanely hard for any player under cp300. This needs to be made clear. It will save us all a lot of time, resources, and PATIENCE.

No, I don't like booting someone because their character is too low-level to handle the difficulty. No, I don't like having to tell someone their DPS, resistance, and/or healing is too weak to handle it. Nor do I like spending three hours trying to carry these poor deluded folks.

There NEEDS to be something in-game to tell players what they should expect.

Nobody likes the way things are. Nobody likes the surprise.

"SURPRISE, you're way too feeble to tackle this dungeon, enjoy wasting your time as well as that of your party members."

Fix it. Fix it. Fix it. Fix it. Fix it. Fix it. Fix it. Fix it. Fix it. Fix it. Fix it. Fix it. Fix it. Fix it. Fix it. Fix it. Fix it. Fix it. Fix it. Fix it. Fix it. Fix it. Fix it. Fix it. Fix it. Too bad. If you'd written "Fix it" one more time, I think they would have actually taken you seriously. :/

Honestly, though. All DLC dungeons are intentionally harder than vanilla dungeons. Now you know, so you can choose to avoid them until you feel more up to the challenge.

Zos isnt going to fix anything. They are going to chug along as per usual, sell dlc and laugh all the way to the bank.

Youre just the flavor of the weekend forum poster complaining. There have been thousands, you'll go away in a week.

    Wasn't talking about myself.

I'm talking about the cp217 vampire DPS who enjoyed standing in fire, the cp198 werewolf that lets stranglers accumulate, the cp92 healer that didn't heal anyone, and the cp132 tank with only 25k health who ignores mechanics.

Those folks breeze through the vanilla vet dungeons and think there's no difference between them and veteran ICP or COS.

    Sooooooo...............

There should be something to let them know they need to be a lot stronger to take on veteran DLC dungeons *PRIOR* to trying and failing to get a pity-carry.

They're wasting everyone's time. Theirs, mine, and yours.

Well now they know that they have much to learn and hopefully they do learn from the experience. It's only a waste of time if they didn't learn from it.

In-game. A rating in the dungeon-finder that warns them before entering the queue.

Am I not making it clear that the point of the rating would be to prevent lowbies from doing dungeons they can't handle? How can a rating page that isn't in-game or somehow unavoidably apparent of any use to alleviate the problem? It can't.

Yeah I probably should have explained.
That thread covers, in good detail, exactly what you're asking for.
I agree we need an in game rating system. It's a bit unfair for new players to get dropped into the latest dlc dungeon without at least warning them what they're in for.

If they chose "Veteran" then they've already opted for difficult content. Do you really expect a little popup message saying "Think again scrub, you probably can't handle this dungeon!" Is going to disused them?

I don't disagree with you that some dungeons are harder than others, but the expectation that you can limit who chooses to do the content is unrealistic. If you don't want to gamble on being paired with noobs who think they are l88t, only run with pre-formed groups.

I never suggested locking them out of the content, I'm only suggesting that there ought to be a rating system with more gradations than "vet" and "non-vet" because dungeon difficulty isn't just 0 or 1.

It's been a long time since I was below the CP cap, but I vaguely recall being the weakest link in a party. It sucks. So ya, I can absolutely believe *SOME* people would be wise enough to take a friendly warning (preferably one without 'scrub' in it).
