Best PVP class/ build

Hey y’all, looking to make a Cyrodiil, Dueling, Battleground beast. Good damage, sustain, and can take a hard hit. I’m thinking maybe a stam DK? Not sure though. What do y’all think?

Magplar...a good one is tough to beat and has flexablility to wear hvy or light armor and compete. If you are just chasing kills and max burst potential, then it's gotta be mag sorc...just sit back and spam shields and executes to rule the kill count in BGs

That totally depends on your play style. You can really go beast mode in any class. I’ve even run into some brawler NB builds. It’s not so much the class but the person playing them and their style. The most brawler type builds though imo are the people who can go heavy armor and build toward sustain but who have the skills to pull of their burst via combos. That said, warden can play the part if you got the sub assault combo down but other than that they lack damage. I think Stam Sorcs are still good if a little boring right now. Hurricane is still a lot of pressure and tankiness. Stam DKs are in a similar place. But either of those classes are good for dizzying swing/2H heavy attacks/DB type combos.

Follow the advice of others, copy for "meta" builds, get your ass handed and then you are back on forums because of frustration.

I'm afraid to say, but I believe you have to find out yourself which class suits you best.

This is really the truth. I'd figure out a style of combat you're interested then find a class spec that can provide you that. I personally love the rythtym and aggression of playing a brawly mageblade, it's what suits me.

A lot of people are suggesting mag sorc so I'll explain that combat style as well. Mag sorc lives and dies by damage shields, which have a 6 second window. Thankfully the burst comes in a 4-5 second window. This leads to a methodical play style that has a slower feel to the pace of combat imo. For me, I love mag sorc and played it for over a year but I don't enjoy short offensive windows so I switched back to mageblade

The best class is the one you play most often and are most comfortable with. Further, its the class you know the skills and what they do and how to best use them situationaly.

For me is mag templar, since beta ive played it the most. Tanked, DPS, Healed nearly in every scenario.

Play on your main, alts, in PVP context are just reminders of how good you are on your main.

Sounds like you are leaning to tanky side of things. MagDK probably outperform StamDk there.

Just a heads up. You will not get prescriptive answers because it is very subjective. This is the only MMO I've played where there was no formula that guarantees beast level performance.

The best players are the ones who can recognize and understand all the skills and builds and react accordingly.

You got to put in the hours to even get to average.

Stam warden is the most “overpowered” at the moment. But it’s not the easiest to play well.

If you’re new to PVP and want easy kills you should play Mag sorc and stack max magicka.

Cyrodiil, duels and Battlegrounds need very different builds.

•Cyrodiil you have to be ready for everyone.

•Duels is a 1v1 100% of the time.

•Battlegrounds is small scale you will never get zerged (unless the team is four pack leader with two wolves each).

P.S. if you don't know how to play make a stamblade with some stupid gang builds like alchemist or something and focus on killing people on horses. If they don't die from your initial attack, cloak and run away

You want easy and preforms well you go with a sorc. If you know the game but don't want to learn the class play a warden. If You wanna turtle up play a DK (Mag or stam). You actually wanna learn and be powerful, play a nightblade
