The quest itself is the reward. Anything extra is just fluff.

What if you got parts to a set or trash item? I noticed we all get the same item for most part. On the other hand what if there we sets exclusive to quests?

If you're a min-maxxer that has already reached end-game content, then yes, the overland quest rewards may seem pointless or at least less than what you're accustomed to.

But for someone starting out that does not have a fully leveled crafted, the quest rewards are just fine. Most pay out green gear, with important quests paying out blue gear.

When I played during launch 2014, I never felt like I was getting ripped off when I got my green quest rewards. I guess it's just hard to relate to all the hate.

Additionally, all of that can be broken down for tempers and crafting mats, so its really win-win.

I suppose but where's the real achievement in it. We have people grinding levels because questing results in little rewards. Nobody says you should go do x quest. I just think there's room for improvement here.

When sub 50, they are fine. At 460+ CP, the rewards are bank/merchant fodder.

With that said, I would expect them to be fodder. Quests are pretty easy once you get into CP and have 4 star gear.

It would be cool is there was a difficult slider that resulted in better rewards though.

I think it's the other way around. If you get a unique weapon or armor piece as a quest reward, and you're not CP 150 or higher, it's only useful for a few levels, then becomes research/decon fodder.

Really ? How do you get that ? I do daily quests everyday, items are always different.
The items you dont need, sell ! People are always looking for certain items.

Well that's the daily quests, but what we're all talking about is the quests in the zones. Like you go to Kragenmoor in Stonefalls and do a lengthy quest and you get the same named weapon (that's not a part of a set mind you) as everyone else. Dailies are the only quests it's different.

I don't mind them for the most part for newer alts, as I use them to deconstruct and further the crafting lines. For my other characters, I often get CP160 set pieces that I can sell (though most are junk). As I level my newer alt now though, I do wish more of them gave out decent jewelry besides just the main and guild quests. She can craft her own gear for the most part, but she's always stuck with low level jewelry.

One of the games I played in the past would often have choices when you finished a quest, to make sure that you got the weapon you actually needed or whatnot. They could do something like this, and maybe offer a choice of gear/jewelry/gold so that people could choose what they actually needed (because for brand new players, the gear can actually be useful).

I do think it would be cool if at least some quests would give furniture or a furniture recipe every now and then, or some other items useful for characters of every level. And I really agree with those saying that treasure chests need an overhaul. Lately it just feels like a waste of time bothering to use the maps.

No point doing extraneous questing unless it's for unique, not-trash gear, of which there are maybe 5 in the entire game.

Eh, you think minor quests should give blue gear payouts? I just don't agree on any level. Completing major quests will give blue and purple payouts. I don't see what the issue is. You cannot look at this from an end-game perspective, because that's not what it's in place for.

I really like the idea of having multiple quest rewards. You could get the choice between a mace, dagger or Battleaxe for one quest, and then another quest would give the choice for a shield, staff, or bow.

It doesn't matter what item they give as reward, good there is something in general. And the gold and exp and achievements progress. There are multiple rewards so no problem at all.

I have never expected quest rewards to be anything special. But, I would love to be surprised once in a while with something nice.

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

I dislike green or blue quality jewelry set item rewards as they just amount to vendor trash. Non set, non jewelry drops at least have a redeeming value of feeding trait training in crafting, or decon for materials. More often finds its way into the vendor or destroyed given our limited bag space.

I'm one of the people that was invited to ESO because I'd been buying solo games for many years. This is my first MMO and from my perspective, the rewards couldn't be more pointless. The inventory limits of this game are crazy to me and I have had several times where I had to stop, destroy an item and repeat the final conversation because I couldn't complete the quest with a full inventory.

In TES III, IV and V, I saved the quest/legendary items and created a display for them in whatever house I was using. When you are deep into the game, you basically have a scrap book and it's fun to set up. By Skyrim, Bethesda obviously knew we were doing this, because they had displays and mannequins ready to load. And book shelves could store relevant books. (crazy right) Offering a trophy that we could put in the homestead houses for key items in a quest would be way better than getting an item to vendor immediately after we get it. They do this a little bit with the crazy expensive achievement furniture, but it's light years behind what Elder Scrolls fans are used to. And ugly gold monster trophies aren't any better.

Do quests because you like them, for the experience and for the occasional skill point, but not for the rewards.

The "rewards" are useless, particularly when you out-level them ten minutes later.

Might not be so bad if a master crafter could increase the level on gear, but without that, well the special staff I got
    for sacrificing the prophet
    is just trash :(
