Magicka Templar (Healer) Leveling Build

Looking for links to or advice for a leveling build for a Magicka Templar, specifically geared toward healing. Whether it be a build that starts me off as resto immediately or one that just suggests toting around a resto staff for my secondary bar to do dungeons with, either is fine.

Thanks!

    resto bar for questing/power leveling: 3 resto skills, Breath of Life, Puncturing Sweep;
    destro bar for quest rewards: 2 resto skills, 2 destro skills, one skill from Dawn's Wrath tree;

    Something like that.

    Never level as healer or tank. It's really slow. Just get DD sets and 2-3 skills and slot the weapon and 2-3 skills you want to level on front bar. As Templar you can just fill your front bar with resto, 3-4 slot resto skills and spam puncturing sweep.

    Not really looking to level as a healer but I certainly want the option of healing through normal dungeons as I progress, to avoid long queues. Apologies for not being more clear in my original post.

    Use 5pc seducer set and 3x torug's pact (all with training trait) with any dropped jewelry. Use shock destro/restro combo. Put class and weapon skills that you want to level on the skill bar. Use puncturing strikes for melee damage/self heal. Heavy shock attacks for ranged AoE damage. Rapid regeneration as HoT and Breath of Life as emergency heal for dungeons. Add more relevant skills as you level up (Shards / Combat prayer / Ritual of Retribution / Blockade of Shock).

    Thanks for the info. As a new player, I'm not well educated on how to go about obtaining these sets. Are they something I can find on guild vendors? Do I need to find a player with the recipes and place a custom order with them? Not even certain what the average cost for these sets would be either.

    Yes, those are crafted sets with pretty low requirements. Just ask around for a crafter. I personally have level 10 and level 32 sets that I use for leveling alts.

    you don't need crafted sets for leveling. Any random gear with +max magicka is ok. Save your money for CP 160 gear

    Crafted is better since you can get them in any trait you want. 5 Seducer or Julianos + 3 Torug is a solid combo. I used it to level all magicka chars. Just have them crafted 10 levels or so and put whatever arcane jewels you find on your neck and ring slots. As for healing normal dungeons it's not necessary to slot many healer skills. You can go full DD and slot some of those. Ritual of Retribution is perfect for that since it also does damage and has a large radius. If people stay on it they will live since you don't get one shot in normals. Another good skill is blazing spear - it does damage to enemies and restores resources to friendlies when they pick it up. If people still die when providing those it because they don't use food or stay in AoE too much so it's not your fault.

    Crafted training gear in blue quality give +72% xp gained from kills. It's quite useful for leveling.
