cannot fill soul gem

i am level 21. leveling at Stormhaven. i filled soul gems normally until a few days ago.
now i have many "empty" soul gems...pretty, minor, lessor, common...
i guess i cannot fill soul gems after 3.1.9 update.
just message "you must have a valid empty soul gem".
anyone knows what problem?

    All the tiered soul gems are obsolete and can't be filled. There are now generic ones for all levels.

    As @Oakmontowls_ESO and this page explain, soul gems have been reworked to be more generic and easier in use. They're no longer tiered to level, but every level now uses regular 'soul gems'. If you had any Grand Soul Gems in your inventory before the change, those should've been converted to the ones every level uses now (the other ones are all obsolete). If you haven't got any of the regular/generic ones, then you're getting the correct error message. If you DO have some regular ones in your inventory, then I'd say create a ticket for ZOS as you should be able to fill those.

    thank you guys. i didn't know "soul gems" update.
    my alt characters have had tiered soul gems(pretty, minor....)
    a few days ago, i sent that gems to leveling character. then i got problem :)
