Best EXP Maximization Strategy - Main & Guild Quests

Just wondering if anyone knows: Before 1T you could get the most bang for your buck for experience by waiting on the main quest and guild quests until level 45 or so and then do them all in one long marathon.

Does anyone know as of now if you get more, less or the same experience for the main quests / guild / faction quests if you do them at higher levels as opposed to lower levels?

Of course the advantage of doing the main quest early is all the skill points it gives but even with that I'd like to maximize my experience point gains.

Get gear with the Training trait and then do whatever you feel like doing. Don't over-complicate things, just have fun playing the game. That is the best way to maximize your overall "experience."

...or just get someone to carry you through Skyreach Catacombs a bunch of times. :p

Wearing all purple training armor/weapons (up to 88% XP boost) + potions, scrolls (50-150% XP boost), makes a lot more difference than the order of any quests.

Also if you do quests in Cyrodiil you get flat 25% bonus XP for all quests and kills, and then if your faction owns some enemy keeps there is another bonus up to 13% XP.

Right now it takes a few hours to level up to 50 via grinding. And I'd say there is no need to grind anymore, since just playing the game normally, doing quests or PVP, you can easily level up to 50 in a week or two.

Thank you for the replies and I don't want to sound the way this will sound - but the responses so far didn't answer the question.

I'm going to do the main quests no matter what - because of 11 skill points. Probably also the mages guild for the 3 skill points. The only question is: is there any exp difference of when you do it?

The rate of XP for doing these quests is so much slower than the rate of XP from killing enemies that it makes no noticeable difference which order you do the quests.

All you will notice is that your XP rate is now faster up to level 30 or so and then slows down slightly from level 40-50. Regardless of which quests you do, the required XP was adjusted so you need less for the lower levels and more XP for the last few levels before 50, but total required to reach 50 is the same.

Thank you - so there is no difference in exp awarded if I do the main quests at level 5 or 45 ... so I might as well do them all early and use the skill points to increase my killing efficiency.

What I usually do first with new character is grab all the public dungeon skill points. This takes a couple hours and by that time I end up around level 10 with 20 extra skill points.

Thanks. That's probably my next step after the Main Quest line and I have certain skills unlocked. But that's a bit more challenging without CP.

The original reason for saving the main story line for that level range was because it did the best to help you push through a less content filled level range.

This is not an issue with one Tamriel. Do them whenever you feel like. Any experience difference is based on appropriate XP for your current level, and not on where or which story line the quest belongs to, as far as I've been able to tell.
