Question Regarding Leki's Focus Set.

I was looking at this set to help with my vMA runs (made it to round 4 so far! progressing slowly but surely.) I love the idea of stacking it with blade cloak to help mitigate some of the AoE damage that is in there. But the main issue is its affect on my own healing and damage from AoEs (duh). So here's my question.

Assuming I was to run a setup that incorporated

5 piece active at all times (thinking something for damage, like Spriggan's Thorn Set)
3 Leki active on back bar (or 4 until I get a vMA bow)
5 Leki on Front bar
2 piece monster set (not sure which cause I think Leki would debuff Velidreth. Worst case I could run Velidreth and Kena /Velidreth and Kra'gh to help push my damage)

Continuing, If I was to be on my bow bar, and only have 3 Leki active, then put down endless hail and razor caltrops when I switch bars would the damage be updated and therefore lowered?

I have used it multiple times, it decreased my heals from Vigor, that is about all I noticed to be honest compared to othwer toons Vigor heals...but I was always topped off immediately using the self heal. It does reduce your damage taken.

No need to reinvent the wheel. I'd try and get yourself some Vicious Ophidian and pair it with either Night Mother's or Spriggans and 2 piece Velidreth. IMO, VO is the only set that's going to make life easier for you in vMA. It allows you to go full damage and still have sustain. The speed buff which stays up pretty much the whole time is nice too. You can farm it in the Craglorn trials on either vet or normal.

I've never used 5 piece Leki's and tbh I'm not sure I know of anyone that has. There's probably a reason for that.

What class are you? Stamina relies so heavily on AOE skills like Endless Hail, Razor Caltrops, and Steel Tornado, that the reduced damage from Leki's might be more harmful than helpful.

You might be better off running 5 pc Spriggan's along with 5 pc Briarheart (which will pump up your damage and allow you to heal through hits you take). This combination is especially lethal on a Stamsorc because it pairs beautifully with Crit Surge. Also, wearing a lot of Well-Fitted Medium armor is huge (I go 7/7 Well-Fitted), because you can dodge roll more often - allowing you to negate most damage and heal while doing so.

Stuff that kills you in VMA:

1. Mistakes
2. Sustain issues
3. Bugs
4. Lags
5. RNG

Leki wont help you with either. Get sustain you need and then go all damage. Being more tankier does not help. The longer you do something the more possibilities to do mistake, run out of resources or get bad RNG roll (like standing at wrong spot just as 2 high damage AoEs intersect or getting hit by 2 attacks at the same tim, ...)

But regarding your Leki question. Nobody uses that set so it may be hard to get answer from someone that tested it, but it should decrease damage of your AoE the moment you swap to it, but also increase it back if you swap to 4 and less pieces.

If you use vigor while having leki bonus active, it will be decreased too, but it should not be if you casted it without the effect active.

I've tried 4-piece Leki's, never used 5. Why would I?

I appreciate the opinions but let's try to keep to the original question I asked.

If you feel other gear would help me more then that's fine, but that's not what I asked.

If you haven't used the 5 piece then again, please don't bother commenting. It will save everyone involved time.

I had a specific question listed at the end of OP. If noone knows then I will bite the bullet and test myself. But I've figured I would check beforehand to maybe save myself some time.

Edit: also for those concerned I am a 617 imperial stamward

The hit you'll take to DPS is not worth the limited survivability gained by Leki's.

It will prolong you, but it will also prolong the fight, leading to more damage to you, in the long run.
