why these "breton" wall scones are hard to work with?

these are so small and even the breton torch are bad enough for placements, these would give walls black soot smears, as i looked other home that has orc wall torch and i like it since flames are more away from walls.
i believe these breton wall torch should have little more angle away and ash holder part need adjusting by not spilling ashes to the floor, and the back end need more visionable for folks with bad eye sights, it is hard to decorate.
