Vet dungeons and TCrystals

Good morning all,

Let me tell you a little story from my experience yesterday playing the game. I was in Alik'r Desert doing a quest that at the end leads you to Volenfell.
I went there and decided to complete the quest. The dungeon was on normal difficulty, I was solo and continued on. I am a stamdk at cp548 so I've killed everything and reached the final boss (3 guardians) with no problems.
There I asked on my guild chat for someone to come and help me finish the dungeon. A guildmate responded and he invited me to group together. I've accepted, he came and the 2 of us killed the final bosses without issues.
Now comes the tricky part. When he invited me, he had dungeons on vet so the final boss we've killed was on vet mode. So even though I have completed the whole dungeon on normal we've killed the final boss on vet.
So I was wondering, so far we know that all vet dungeons will have a 100% change of getting a TCrystal from the final boss of a vet dungeon, is that a way to get crystals with minimum effort? I mean, my guildmate came for 3 minutes, killed the final boss and he'll get a crystal?
Thoughts?

I was pretty sure changing difficulty reset the dungeon, this is an common tricks then farming dungeons.
Still it did not matter if the previous enemies spawned then you was at last boss.
Anyway the final boss is the hard part in dungeons.

This gives an initiative to help group kill final boss if you replace some on final boss

I haven't been keeping up with the crystals on the PTS, aren't they Bind on Pickup? It's not like they'll be flooding the market, and a half decent group can clear a vet dungeon about as fast as a good players can solo clear on normal. As far as exploits go, this one feels pretty benign.

You didn't kill the boss on Vet mode.

To change the difficulty you would need to leave and actually reset the instance of the dungeon, doing it all over again in vet.

If he came to YOUR instance of Volenfell that was created on normal, it didn't change to vet one he entered.

If that was the case, that is how everyone would farm monster helms.

Are you certain the final boss changed to vet? That is the question. My guess is the instance didn't change.

Probably need to see if total HP was increased on the bosses. That's what would tell you for certain. Was HM available which would be another tell tale it changed.

BTW, when grouped the leader cannot change the difficulty levels when in the instance.

If the leader grouped then entered the instance, left and change the difficulty level with group members inside everyone would get kicked and the instance would reset.

If they entered alone, grouped, left the instance and changed the difficulty level it would not kick anyone else out and would not change the difficulty level because he had entered alone before grouping.

Ok, that's my guess also, that the boss didn't change to vet. First of all, I didn't get the monster helm and I haven't noticed the HM availability now that you mention it.
But here is what puzzles me, my guildmate came in the dungeon as the leader, actually we'd added another guildmate but he couldn't come because he was not lvl50, so the 2 of us killed the boss and then I've checked the group window and the dungeon was on vet, plus when i went out of the boss room all trash was there again.
Maybe the dungeon resetted afterwards to vet? I don't know.
I was on normal, my leader came from outside the dungeon and he was on vet, so what happens in that case?
