What about clockwork mage or clockworker as new TESO class?

Sounds interesting, 7 don't know how well it would fit the lore tho. It would be awesome if it where able to manipulate time like the Greek god chronos wich is often related to clockworks, again the lore would probably kill the idea since there's not really any time traveling going on as far as I know and having a sixth of players running around summoning dwemer automatons would cause problems again I think :)

I personally think if they are going to add new classes they will be more heard of, nightblades and stuff dates back to daggerfall, they could add an alterist or an alchemist etc :) I actually don't know anything about warden so take what i say with a grain of stamblade

Was that the idea for a temporal manipulation "clockwork" mage or a dwemer steampunk "clockwork" mage?

Either would likely not be "enough meat" for a full class.

The temporal stuff is "order of the hour" shtick, you fight one such at the end of the DB questline - but its iffy to do right in an MMO where you have a whole world around you in realtime.

The dwemer stuff we see from Sothra Sil to any following in his footsteps... but again, it would seem that generally people are not advancing to those levels, but at best have a single dwemer based "pull gizme out of bag and hope it doesn't blow up in your face" skill... so, something more akin to the "Scholars Guild" idea I was once toying with: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/306759/additional-guild-ideas

...and in any case... I really, really hope they won't add yet another new class, forcing the old players who have been here since launch and made fourteen characters already to start yet another batch of new ones and level them through all the content we -already- did over a dozend times and find a tad boring by now...
...and instead add stuff that can be useful to -every- type of character, no matter if newly made or played since launch. Stuff like more guilds mentioned above, or, oh I dunno... ...new weapon skills: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/371862/additional-weapon-skill-ideas-mk-ii ...or some sort of "prestige classes": https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/369966/class-morph-idea-mk-ii ...though of course, I would say things like that, wopuldn't I? ;)

I'm picturing a dwemer engineer class
if something like that it would be better as a world skill line

Isn’t time distortion impossible in an MMO where the entire game is running in real time?

For the same exact reason we can’t pause the game.

Wardens are new, though nature mages have been in the setting since Daggerfall. They've never been playable, and until ESO didn't have a unique tactical spell set, but they've been kicking around for awhile.

If you want more established classes, then:

The Battlemage: A mage with some melee options.

The Witchhunter: A light armor mage that specializes in taking out other magic users.

The Monk: Your normal D&D style, punch-people-in-their-face-until-their-skull-melts style characters.

The Barbarian: A hyper aggressive melee fighter in light (medium for ESO) armor.

The Spellsword: A heavy armor DPS type mage.

The Agent: A stealth focused character with some illusion magic, and a weird knack for getting people to do what they want. (Seriously, don't roll one up in Morrowind or Oblivion, they sound way cooler in concept than they are in actual gameplay, but I'm still kinda irked about it 15 years later, so I'll make you read this.)

The Bard: A Bard. Sings while you beat them to death.

The Crusader: The unholy lovechild of a DK and a Templar.

The Knight: The unholy lovechild of a Templar and a DK.

The Assassin: (But, wait, we have the nightblade, right?) A medium armor character built around stealth, without the actual invisibility powers of the NB, and with more of a poison theme.

The Warrior: The unholy lovechild of a DK and a Nord.
