I usually play via ethernet, but when I am not at home I use my mobile phone as portable hotspot. We have have pretty nice LTE cover in my country, so no problems with connection (trust or not, no lags). I just must avoid using master merchant :as it consumes loads of data.0 -

Ethernet over powerline is a thing. Flameheart✭✭✭✭✭Ethernet cableMy fibre port at the wall is 50 cm away from my router and another 20 cm from my PC LAN port, so there is no reason to not use the most secure and especially failure-free connection -> LAN cable. Same for my NAS. You could use a Cat6 or even Cat7 cable, but it would make no sense, because I don't think that there are many people who have a provider that delivers more than 1Gbit/s download transfer rate.
My WLAN (WiFi) is pretty amazing too when it comes to transfer rates (I even have two separate WLANs for different frequencies), but there is just no need for me to do that, although I could use - at least in theory - a WLAN transfer rate of 1,3 Gbit/s. I connect all other devices (TV, Smartphone, Tablet, Printer) over WLAN though.
