Inferno Staff with Flame Glyph, Molten Armaments, empowered with Degeneration +20%----
Clever Alchemist proc'd, Elegant, Mola Kena proc'd..

What the heck just happened, well that was a 24K heavy attack!

It was slow, it stunk in 1 v 1's, but if you had a group you could hide in the back and wind up... you could really bring the boom. Nerfed around the beginning of 2017, no reason given.

THE SHEILD BREAKER STAFF BUILD

Not really so much as a build but an armor set.
When 80% of the game is running sheild stacking Sorcs that hardly ever die, the answer was a lightning staff with Sheild breaker set. It only hit for 2000 a tick, but most of your targets were so lazy from playing the mindless meta they would just keep popping their sheilds until they were dead, even if it took 20 seconds.

Sheild Breaker Set Nerfed after 2 years, because Sheild Stacking Sorc became the Meta and a couple people died I guess.

Haven't seen Reactive magica templars anymore, since sustain got nerfed with Morrowind, haha. So much hate it was.
Still running Malubeth though (on a healbot).

My secret pvp mablade gank build got nefed twice. Stygian set + clever alchemist + shadowy disguise crit + onslaught ultimate.

Stygian used to buff both spell damage and max magicka by 20% when sneaking/invisible, and ultimates scale off your highest resource. The two-handed ultimate ignores physical resistance and refunds it's cost if it kills an enemy, which it almost always did with those resource pools, so you could gank before you gank and then gank again.

By building for max spell dmg and Max mag, putting cp into physical dmg and having a skill bar full of buffs before the guaranteed crit from invisibility you get from shadowy disguise it was possible to one-shot almost any player without any skill required... it was such a fun way to play that I actually made a pve version for overland questing, going invisible to one-shot mobs one at a time was slow but incrediby fun and reminded me of skyrim.

While blobsky and sypher both had stamina versions of the onslaught gank building, I never heard of anyone using the magical version even though it was superior thanks to the stygian set. I eventually posted the build on reddit, and in the next patch (morrowind iirc) it was nefed to oblivion. I have not played my altmer mag blade since.

Storm Master set.
The proc used to stack and can occasionally boost your light attack damage to over 30k.
was never that great but now it's a useless set. the nerf was not even mentioned on any patch note.

@Jim_Pipp blobs did also run a magicka version with stygian.

The Sun Sheild

I didn't have one, but a good friend did. If you didn't know what you were fighting it could wipe a group. He actually built on with Swarm Mother, and he used to stand in a breech or a hot spot, people would range him, get sucked in and then I would talons them til they died in oil.
I've been hit by Swarm Mother once or twice, the surprise of getting pulled across the screen into a bunch of enemies is something.

There were so few of these, you would see them in Cyrodil, but they were far from the Meta. Yet nerfed

Next Patch Heavy armour DK 'Tava Tanks' in both PvE & PvP. enjoy them while they still exist!
