How much of the furniture in your home(s) is made/stolen by you?

I love crafting, it's why I'm a master crafter. Housing is my main interest right now, especially making all the furniture in my homes. This is getting to be difficult, as purple furnishing patterns are much more rare, and almost non-existant on Vvardenfell. Not to mention the items that were never in-game to being with (*cough* Conservatory). So, just wondering, how many people caved and bought furniture, vs are holding out for months to find that purple plan you really want.

Most purchased items in my homes are for the garden, flowers or statues. I do have one Imperial home that was purchased with crowns, and it's more like 25% crafted.

My main house (Phrasticus) needed to be bought with crowns because I have no imperial edition. So, I also got it furnished and spread many of those items into my 3 other homes which I bought with in game gold.

One way I put it is I can make just about everything I have on display - the Breton version being almost the same as the Imperial one furniture wise. The exception being the skooma bubbler.

I have Ravenhurst and I wanted to make sure everything was made or found by me or an achievement. I see amazing houses with incredible detail and decoration and I know if I dropped $100-200 on crowns I could have that awesome kitchen with all the fruit and veggies and meats, but so can anyone else. Mine is mine through hunting recopies and patterns and achievements and I love that about my house.

If I had a better way to preview what the furniture will look like, I would make more. Yea, I can use an addon, but an in game preview would be so much better, and and helpful.

I guess it is on the same back burner as the Armor Preview.

More accurately, if I see someone selling something for cheaper than the craft cost, I'll buy it. Also my husband bought me a lovely house gift in a guild auction from a pattern I didn't have and I've picked up a couple things myself to support the guild. But otherwise, I just make things myself.

Oh I do buy some things from the achievement and luxury furnishers too! But I don't spend crowns on furniture.

I have a bunch of luxury furnishings sitting in storage for when I (someday) have a manor to use them in, but my decorated houses are all crafted or achieved. It's really satisfying to look around and see all the things I've learned to make.

I may have "acquired" a few items by chance, wouldn't say I stole them but everything in my small modest homes have all been crafted by my own two hands. I'm pretty sure I did about 95-100% of the stuff in my friends abode as well.

I use luxury + laundered paintings cause that's the only way you can get them, but I also do have about 1210 patterns learned now, so yeah the rest of the stuff besides those are made by me.

IE: Velothi Paintings, Tryptics, Tapestrys.

50-70%... I didn't buy my house furnished... so I had to select a different option

I can't craft most things because my crafts are across multiple characters, so I have made a bunch of lower rarity furnishing I have crafted myself but I also had to hire a crafter to make the furniture In the style I wanted plus a few stuff picked up from the weekend vendor... most notably all those thrones..

99.5% was crafted/achieved by my main character.
0.5% corresponds to a carpet which was a gift from a guildie.

I refuse to buy furniture from other players. I'm not sure why really. Maybe I just like the satisfaction of being self sufficient. Or maybe it's a reaction to those "visit my showroom" zonechat ads when housing was launched.

25-45%: I added a few busts from dungeons.

About a quarter of the low-quality items in my home (inside and exterior space) have been made by my low-level crafting character. The rest of the content is predominantly trees and plants bought occasionally from the Crown Store. I'm slowly developing my crafter so that I can eventually make as much content as I can; this being one of the main appeals of furnishing to me. Besides, I would rather not rely on potentialy expensive trips to the Crown Store.

I don't have a home, I sleep in the gutter. Never saw too much point in one to be honest.

Most things in my homes I made myself or gotten from luxury merchants or achievement furniture or they are lorebook furnitures. Some items I have asked others to make because I could not find the recipe for months on end and knew they knew them.
