You may well be right so far as competitive players are concerned, but speaking as a non-competitive player I have never watched a game video on YouTube and have no desire or intention ever to do so. I build my characters as I find appropriate to my playstyle, it's a key part of playing the game. As such my two existing wardens are very different but equally viable and fun to play, as no doubt will be my third in due course!0 -

✭✭✭✭✭I use mine for overland questing. That's all they're good for at the moment since ZOS refuses to fix the class.
They're good in PvP too, but since I don't PvP, they're worthless to me in that regard. It's shameful that ZOS would sell a class that was only designed for one game mode. Their DPS is awful. Fully optimized, they still parse ~20% less than the other magicka classes. They're a sorry excuse for a DPS class.

3 grace of the ancients (3 moondancer or IA is better for DPS but im going for max magicka)
Monster helm and shoulder - Infernal guardian
1 Maelstorm lightning staff
1. lightning staff with spell damage increase enchantment
(weapont traits and enchantments dont matter much, DPS is similar all between infused. nirnhorned, sharpened, and precise)
All set pieces are devines and golded out.
Mundos stone: The Mage for extra magicka
And with warden ult slotted and inner light you get 58k max magicka.
I do not know what the result will be if you slot all mages guild abilities and someone casts Warhorn on you, probably you can get as high as 65k magicka but I havent tested that.
As I said this is not the best DPS build but it does have a lot of magicka allowing you to have nearly 25k shield with harnes magicka (don't forget to put 23% in that shield increase champion points) .Edited by rosendoichinoveb17_ESO on September 28, 2017 11:14PM0 -

They are not great at vMSA at all. First time I did it with warden a few weeks ago i did on average 8k DPS with a magicka warden. Now a few tries later I am *** an average of 20k DPS (still a 1/3 lower than my sorc average DPS in this dungeon)
The only reason I was able to do a flawless run is because of the max magicka and maybe because I have done vMSA around 500 times with my Sorc so I know where and when everything spawns (the only thing I cant fully predict is the damn flowers in level 7, but at least a large shield will get you to the cleansing area safely)0 -
