Theory Craft: Stamina + Magicka Warden Build? (PVE)

I want to play a warden, and with their skill set, I could see a build for some kind of solo self healing part DPS part Tank that takes advantage of the Pelinal's Aptitude set. A kind of "do it yourself" build that can do most things the game has to offer and be good in most roles (aside from PVP and Trials). However I do not have the skill or the time to make such a build, and as a long time Magicka NB DPS, I do not know the first thing about tanking. Does anyone have any builds they've made that are DPS or "jack of all trades" that take advantage of the Pelinial crafted set, and are actually good to some degree, and is not just some meme build? I prefer DPS, but I don't think a stam-mag build will work well as a DPS, correct me if I'm wrong (cause I would love to be wrong). So if that isn't viable, some form of solo-tank semi-dps build would be amazing too. Ideas?

A hybrid will never pull the same DPS as a pure mag or stam while max mag and stam still count towards damage I'm afraid. You could build a dps setup that would pull at least 15-20k single target self buffed (which is more than enough for vet dungeons), but it all depends on how hard you're willing to work to make that happen (tag me in this if you want to do so!)

Much easier is tanky dps- 5 hundings (4 body and greatsword), 3 night mother's gaze (body), 3 agility accessories (healthy), and shoot for 20k to 22k health. With brawler, rally, and green lotus you will be obnoxiously strong even in large trash packs.

Hybrid is generally bad and especially on warden. Warden has a stamina and magicka version of so many skills that there is really no benefit to being hybrid.

^^ I tried so hard to make a hybrid warden work, but I couldn't. Even with my Hybrid DK, I am pulling 22k DPS, far lower than what I would like to be pulling.

I actually switched over to Magicka Tank on my Warden. I get about 8-12k dps with it, barely have to block b/c my self heal is overpowered, and have more than enough resources to deal with any Vet boss. I've even completed some of the new vet dungeons with her too.

If you have a warden, and are comfortable using her as a tank with S/b and ice staff, it works really well. I currently have ysgramor and Plague doctor with Ice heart helmet. I can solo the craglorn world bosses easily, and last a while. I don't want to bring her into PvP (and should switch out her equipment when transmutation comes out so she isn't wearing a ton of impen)

She gets into dungeon queue quickly cause she is a tank, and has enough self heals and resources to keep herself alive even when the rest of the team is down (and rez them all)

And another point - next patch armor sets won't help much if you are trying to go that route. You really need those resources if you want to go hybrid.

Even players who are known to make a hybrid build every now and there (like Kristofer) have struggled to get anything out of the Warden. Now if the Ice Furnace proc-ed off of any ice damage (and not direct damage), I would use that with Pelinial and build towards weapon damage, and some degree of mixing of Max magicka.

So far my only character that can have some degree of sustain as a hybrid, and get some good numbers is my DK. Although with her set up, you need to run in a small group of dedicated players who know what they are doing, b/c your dps will not be fast enough.

What build are you using? I just got my Warden to 50 (CP400+ now) and have been playing her mostly as a healer. However, I'd love to spec her into tanking (I have tanking experience on my DK) and am looking for a magicka-based self-healing build. I can craft most sets up to like 6 traits right now and have enough cash flow to cobble together an overland set (I already have some Plague Doctor items and could craft something like Julianos or farm up Ysgramor or whatever).
