Concealed Weapon doesn't proc Selene Set

I was under the impression this was a Direct Damage Melee ability, yet it is not proccing Selene's - same with Soul Harvest. Is this right?

WHy would you run selene's on a magic character.?

You can use incapacitating strike instead, pretty sure that procs selenes

Selenes still hits pretty hard even as a magicka based character, just like Valkyn hits hard if you are a dual wield dot stamina build (pve). I'm just trying out non-meta builds. According to the description, concealed weapons should proc it, but I guess ZoS wants us to play a certain way. No biggie. Grothdar is still good.

But direct range dmg can be magic dmg ? Because force pulse or swallow soul procs Nerieneth. What You're saying is that everything that matches term "direct dmg" is direct dmg but term "melee direct dmg" is reverved only for stamina based abilities ?

It's stupid if we also consider fact that skills like veiled strike or jabs have 2 morphs where 1 procs selene and 2nd doesnt and only difference is resoucre that ability cost is based and dmg type.

yeah, I'm not sure why direct damage has to be physical damage. Concealed Weapon is not a popular skill, it would be good if ZoS made it more useful offensively. The current speed bonus would is meh.

ZOS did something weird with the Melee range Magic abilities at some point
Concealed Weapon used to proc Sneak Attacks,
then they took that out about the time they added a Stamina morph

have not checked if they ever reinstated it, but may be related to the Selene's Issue
Also killed a bunch of the fun of having the Stygian set QQ

Ah yes, the stygian set. is anyone running that? maybe that's how they can fix concealed weapon - using it from stealth reduces its cost by half.

finally deconstructed my old v12(or maybe v10? it was old) Stygian set, since none of my characters will be 120 CP again
but used to love it

Personally run Concealed Weapon on my Magickablade strictly for CC and the movement speed while invisible
lets me run around Cyrodiil battles invisible pretty effectively
but mostly run heals and off-dps, so may be kind of particular

That's the problem with concealed weapon, it's an offensive skill that people use defensively. Be nice if there was something that it did that made it more useful from an attacking perspective - like it giving major breach or something.

Very sad, but it still doesnt work. I just wanna play out of meta. In the discription of Selene's item you can see about 'direct melee attack', so why counceled weapon doesnt activate Selena? i dont know.

What do you think guys, will it be fixed?

So I ran into this same issue. What gives?
Melee attacks should be based on range. Not on skill resource.
