More dynamic content for the world please

Brainstorm mode:
Random encounters, travellers, radiant-system like quest given by passengers on the street.
More dynamic key-lock situations. You find an entrance but cant open it. You later find how to open it, with a hint, or an item that you found. More mystery! Less linearity! Less knowing whats to come, more excitement!

Why is every animal attacking? Every bear, every wolf. Stupid! They should be peaceful. Enemies should give up when they see you are stronger. Some should beg for life. Others should slowly flee (injured, so you can kill them, without chasing. Or let them live).

Make the world feel alive. More authenticity. More believability. The world is so cool. Yet it is all so boring in terms of gameplay.

Cheers

You ask for things that are already in the game. Probably you do not explore much.

I think its a neat idea. At some point realism isnt fun to me, like when it gets me killed, lol. But I get what you are saying. I like a certain amount of predictability, but some more dynamic interaction would be cool. There is a lot of that already present in the game. Enough to make me wish for just a tad more. But maybe that would throw off the balance. Hard to say.

There are random encounters, maybe not as much as in Skyrim but they are there. Lots of instances in quests where you can't open a door until you start said quest. As for the animals there is less chance of them attacking you the stronger you are, to not have them attack you at all is eh. How in the world would a wolf or a bear know that you are stronger than them? They're just animals.

I appreciate you wanting to improve the game but these suggestions are either already in the game or are illogical (the animals one). Maybe expanding on the current systems would be better.

Also if I walked past a bear in real life I wouldn't be too confident about walking by without getting mauled to death.

hopefully as new dlcs and chapters are released tamriel will continue to expand and each new area will improve in terms of graphics (was absolutely enthralled with the way the water appeared in vardenfall), content (wrothgar), level of ai amongst the npcs, and overall immersion...

I have to be honest though, why reading OP's post I immediately thought about all those random npcs chasing me down with all their "problems"...run away...

Actually, not really and the game is more dynamic than most, thought the game isn't to the extent you mention. However, the existing content would not change even if Zos moved to a more dynamic system. It would be to much work related to the benefit to change what is already designed.

The only dynamic content is the daily/radiant stuff from the guilds, and the Qs in cyrodil iirc.

The rest is handcrafted. Every spawn position. Every quest. Every door is handcrafted.

They do not attack you on sight. And if they do, they are hungry, VERY hungry. And even then, they retreat when you beat them with a sword or stick.

I agree that the zones could use more polish.

With bears or wolves I think it's more how well you sneak or how close you get....you only know relative strength when the battle begins? Some other creatures are more sensitive and harder to get by....like the "frost" whatevers in the cold caves...pop out of the ice and jump you?

Maybe some new additional random events injected into each alliance zone would be neat.

I'd love to see what builds I could make once I find Firelance :p

Zos seems to have a focus of adding anything new to DLCs and such. The base game has received changes but I cannot recall any playable content added to it.

I guess you've never seen the merchant you can rob, or the guys stuck unable to start a fire, or the 3 people arguing alongside the road, or the 2 wizards dueling, or the random "mini-dolman" that spawns when you walk by...

    Need I continue???

YES to do, these are a few event that in your 1000+ hr I have seen only rarely, now it would be cool if they could attach quests to each of these, and have random NPCs in town have you do simple tasks, it could use more radiant quests like skyrim had. Even just adding a bounty board for kill x enemies would go a long way IMHO

The game definitely needs some interesting (and rewarding) concepts that don't feel so cheesy and bland. I only did half of morrowind before getting bored of chasing quest markers.

Sounds more like something for tes6 rather than eso. Mmo's by nature have to be 'predictable'

Though having more live (similar to dolmens) events may bring more dynamic to zones. Maybe chain events eg, 'after A quests is done b quest then opens, once complete c quest opens with zone/area boss appearing'.

No need to continue, I have seen them all. And in all the exploration you do overall, such things happen way too few times.
Also, they are all hand-placed and not dynamic (afaik, maybe the mini dolmens are actually randomized). So what I say does not violate what you say.

So what I say is: Less chasing questmarkers. More dynamic happenings in the world.

I would imagine the bears in ESO which do not eat (or at least we don't witness it) would be pretty hungry anyway.
