This is actually the most ridiculous thing happening currently in-game. People asking about how to get the free crates in every guild I'm in. Do you people realize that 3 crates is nothing? You will get nothing but some pots and universal style materials from them! Those rare things that they put in the ad have 0.5% chance of dropping.

in the original post the UTC is a hyperlink - clicking on it takes you to google who kindly inform us exactly what UTC means - and even go the extra mile of explaining in relation to YOUR local time....

OK, to help those that are Google challenged;
UTC stands for Coordinated Universal Time.
Because I live in the states, UTC is 5 hours ahead of your local time zone. So, for example, if it says UTC 12:00 a.m. Friday that would be 7:00 p.m. central Thursday the day BEFORE.

North American servers are located in Texas. Players login to the North American server to an event with absolutely zero notifications, no in game messaging at all that its even started or exists period except for a little blip on the launcher that no one reads unless they have to, and no way to track any of your progress to see if your actually doing anything at all. Going by Afghanistan time is obviously the optimum choice for kicking off this spectacularly planned weekend event.. because.. um.. military, and/or Zulu. I don't see where the confusion is at all because I always stop what I am doing in game to constantly google every facet of the game to try to understand it better. Get with the program already.

The easiest way to know what time it is in your local time is to go to Google and type:

Your city to 12am UTC

Obviously replace 'your city' with your actual city, say London, Sydney, etc.

I'd have to agree with this guy, the event was implemented terribly and no explanation was given of any kind in game

The fact that you have to kill any "monster" which is weird and then you don't even get any notification telling you that you've completed it, just makes it even worse.

They gave out free crates to eso+ members while the rest got to try eso+ for free earlier this year.

Ughhh I hate zulu time (airlines employee here). We once attempted to convert to everything being advised in zulu time. It didn't last for long, it was a pita for everyone.
