The Addition of CP to Battlegrounds

I would like to discuss battlegrounds CP vs non CP.
As excited as I was to find out CP was coming to battlegrounds I was also disgusted by the removal of non cp.
I love instant PVP so I spent many hours and millions in gold theroy crafting non cp builds for every spec.
How dead is battlegrounds pvp that the entire aspect of non-cp pvp would be removed.
In the past the data has always shown that people prefer the cp campaigns over the non cp campaigns, but when battlegrounds dropped people were forced to adapt to fit the devs "perfect picture" of how the game should be played. Now are they changing everything again based on "data" or might the devs truly just be out of touch with the basics of what the player base wants?
How hard would it be to give us cp AND non-cp battlegrounds with REAL leaderboards, rankings and rewards.

Non-CP is only a good idea on the forums. In practice the population of people who want to PVP without CP is a small fraction of those who want to use CP.0 -
