Popular culture would interpret your name as drinking alcohol, and being a happy drunk, as a default when there is a lack of context. It's literally just the culture people are brought up in.

There is no context to suggest that you mean coffee, so people default to something relatable that they can make sense of, and in doing so create their own context. Drinking.

You've fallen victim to your own lack of awareness of social norms. No insult intended, we all do to some degree.
