Hello i want to share with you guys a video that will demonstrate how nice can ESO actualy looks like on console if you have proper setup . Sorry for the shaky screen , i was holding the phone with 1 hnd and the controller with the other . The video looks a bit over saturated than it is on my screen but i guess its a result of incapebility of capturing HDR with a lame phone (samsung galaxyJ7)
I am interested of the opinions of the PC gamers mostly . Cuz with my current gaming setup i am able to game on 60 fps 4k med-high graphics or 60fps 1080p with rnchanced High-Very High graphics .However this is only suitable for PVE , in Cyrodiil performance is crap ^^.

Your opinions would have been much more helpful. Good and bad.

All I see is hate and rage from people who don't understand how to.....

First the game is set to 1080p , no need of 4k capture .
Second currently there is no way for you to watch HDR video on youtube , unless you have TV that is supported by youtube itself (sry PC owners)
    So ur welcome.

I've got both PS4pro and quite decent PC, playing ESO on both. PC wins hands down in both image quality and gameplay smoothness. Has its own quirks, but it's faaar superior. BTW. Actually in enhanced mode your fps doesn't jump to 60fps and in fact it's more stable in 4k mode. In enhanced mode, in populated areas or trials it's far worse than in 4k mode. The fps on PS4pro in 4k mode is usually somewhere between 20 and 30 fps (mostly sticking to 30, with occasional dips), while in enhanced mode (it sure looks much better, save for some jaginess you have to get used to) it can sometimes drop to unplayable levels... Plus there is an additional lag in enhanced mode (probably due to fps drops and generally unstable fps).

Now. People that are used only to consoles might not see that, but I've been playing on both PC and consoles for years (and I'm a playstation fan). Using Dualshock on my PC as a primary control device, FYI :D.

He's spot on. I have a lower gaming PC spec and Xbox one so I'll whats what on the Xbox one x but unless the 4k on the Xbox one x exceeds the 1080p enhanced PS4 pro version the pc does have the upper hand in terms of visual quality.

HDR is done terribly and I'm not sure this should be considered HDR. Someone at the developer level needs to be fired and hdr should be removed next patch on all consoles.

Would you mind elaborating on what you mean by stimulated 60fps?

Are you talking about tv frame interpolation? Or just capturing some random isolated area in game that happens to not have any fps lag.

    Simulated 60fps by the Samsung KS8000 ,
Believe me they look like real 60fps , the TV processor is interpretating the missing fps.

Sure, but it's also adding input lag.

Frame interpolation is terrible due to input lag and often creates an unnatural blurring / ghosting during fast motions. It does not look like proper 60 fps.

If anything the added blur only serves to work against hdr and 4k res.

Sure, standing still and walking around in Glenumbra the game plays very well. Things are great assuming you avoid combat-intensive content such as PvP or trials.

I get 30FPS like this on PS4 Pro. If I turn up the correct settings on my TV, the 4K HDR is complimented by what appears as a *mock* 60FPS (or more).

    The downsides:
    - The game itself feels a if it play a tiny bit slower, meaning it is a bad idea in scenarios where you are engaged in combat that requires quick reflexes. It'll frustrate you a lot and definitely make you play worse.
    - It is a fake improvement to FPS, causing lots of screen tearing effect that is extremely annoying to deal with when turning your camera

What I notice the most FPS-wise on PS4 Pro is that I'm getting 5-10FPS in vHoF, due to what is likely a memory leak issue which ZOS has neglected to address for a very long time. You start at 25-30FPS in the trial and dip to 5-10FPS overtime.

Yes the 60fps mode is not suitable for intense and fast paste combat , but i find it awesome for casual PVE stuff , the exploration aspect of the game when you do it in HDR+ mode is amazing.
Also the input lag is not rly that much with the simulated 60 FPS, when i bought the TV at first i spend nearly 1 month playing without Game Mode with what you consider as high input lag , and i got use to it.
Anyway my point is that with the proper setup and few tweaks we can enjoy the full beauty of the ESO's open world and overland questing even if we are console peasants :D

I was able to spot this right away.

Sorry to say, there's just not a console out there that can do this game justice. Nintendo/Microsoft/Sony need to just bite the bullet and throw 1080's in their stuff. Sure it'll drive the console up to like $700-800 but people are paying more than that for cellphones.

VR is about to be the new hotness and that's just going to require more and more GPU power. The one who nails it first gets the market share. Its how that's always been.

I mean my Laptop will do 4k (if plugged into a monitor/TV) in real 60FPS (or more), and 1080p in 120+ (its screen is 1080p@120hz).
