Vigor & Caltrops morphs

A noob question.
Do I have to PVP to get the morphs of Vigor & Caltrops ?
Or just regular experience gain (like from questing) will help me to morph Vigor -> Resolving Vigor & Caltrops -> Razor Caltrops ?

✭✭You need to PvP to unlock assault skill line. Once slotted, they go up like any other skills (in PvP and PvE).PC - EU:

✭No, you have to PVP to get enough rank in Assault to unlock Vigor (Assault 5) and Caltrops (Assault 6).
The individual skills level as any other, with any XP, in PVP or PVE.1 -

No.
You do not have to PVP to get the morphs, you only have to PVP to get the skills themselves, once you have the skills you need to simply have them on your bar while gaining experience they will level up without you ever entering Cyrodiil again.Legendary Archer of ValenwoodBosmer Dragon Knight Archer. This is incorrect. You only need to pvp to unlock the skills. Once you have whatever skill you want unlocked, you can slot it on your bar and it will increase with experience gains from anywhere (like questing). If you do not want to pvp, farm ap until you unlock caltrops, then go pve from then on out and the skills will level fine with questing.4 -

If you have the skill line already, which it looks like you do...then no... you never have to step back into Cyrodill again to get your morphs...0 -
