Finally hit 1 million damage!

Last night I finally did over 1 million damage in a single game of BG's. I was doing Deathmatch with some guildies and we stomped pretty hard.

Nice! I remember my first time breaking 1m damage was during a CTR that my team won 100-0-0 at the time limit

I've been trying to examine some BG results. May I ask your K/D ratio and what build you were using?

First broke 1m (on my magplar) in a deathmatch that we lost that took almost the entire 15 minutes.

When I broke 1 mill I was running Grothdar + Proxy Set - my kills where around 4 or 5 I think lmao,

Recently running skoria + Caltrops + another ground based AoE - 700k DMG about 6 kills

I think ZoS has adjusted scores where Assists are now more valuable

With both builds the scores were above 3k and I took 1st/2nd

Point is:
Sorc kill steals are no longer a really viable way to get leaderboards
DMG in any form is highly valuable
Area denial can be very effective

- Can't remember his name, but he has that 60k health Warden build (I hated it at first) I'm seeing this kind of build being the highest scoring kind (he did post 2 mil DMG... Grrr lol)

Every time I break 1m damage it's running trans/riposte/skoria or trans/surge/skoria on mageblade. I keep path properly placed in group fights, manage my DoTs well, and put out assassin's wills and impales down range as often as possible.

I usually finish in the 15-25 kill range for these matches and at least 700k healing. But I'm running an execute and popping resto ultis on cooldown and throwing out free group heals from path and funnel, which both get bar slots anyway.

I find that my damage output is usually an indicator of my teams success, when I have a team that plays smart and works together I have no problems dropping 1m damage. I very rarely break 1m damage when playing with teams where everyone wants to yolo 1vX

I also prioritize sorcs who are effectively using their execute to steal kills, since mag sorc is basically free AP against a good mageblade in NO-CP. killing them boosts your damage done since they'll usually take 50k damage to kill alone and boosts your killing blows since you're then the only person dropping ranged executes.

Nice job!

I've broken 1mil damage mainly on my magblade using my ice staff build. The combination of blockade, path and meteor/destro ult adds a ton of damage done overall.

Thing is - if you´re stomping you never see 1 million dmg because the enemies die too fast.

And single target damage results in the same amount of kills, just far less DMG.

Every player that has posted 1 mil damage did not have a kill score higher than average. Example, had a 16 kill match sub 600k DMG

Very informative! (Did notice the death rates were pretty low however - maybe some correlation there)
