Crown store money maker - pet skins

Zos is missing the boat big time on this money maker. all creature models are already in the game. why not make pet skins for pet sorc and wardens? they dont have to do any different attacks just look different. imagine an Argonian warden with an alligator pet or a guar pet as a sorc. there is an infinite number of possibilities and allow for more individuality and creativity without having to change the mechanics since it is only a skin. Just my 2 cents and hopefully my crowns in the near future.

Changing the entire look of the pet is more than just changing a skin, because you'd have to change the animations, too. For example, it would be easy for them to do a new color for the scamp or clannfear and make them green instead of lavender, but harder (but not impossible) for them to make the clannfear/scamp look like a guar, because they'd have to re-code the guar animations to work with the sorceror.
It seems like it can be done, but they might not want to do the work. What I'm saying is that making the pets green would be a simple texture change, but making them look like a guar (or whatever) would require coding work, from what I understand.
    I love the idea, though.

I was wondering too, it would be soooooooooooooooo freakin' cool if this was just a skill that the pet classes have.

Like, if you don't want to have a bear as your pet, you can find a creature with similar size (to make coding easier) i.e., Duneripper or Giant Snake and then instead of fighting you have an option to "bond" it.

Likewise, Sorcs can bind Harpy instead of Twilight, or Lamia, or other various healing/flying creatures. Instead of Clannfear give them all the small beasts.

the animations are already there, these creatures already exist. as does the damage code for what our pets do. so in essence your just swapping animations and "skin" the mechanics stays the same.

Yes, I understand that. I was just saying it would take a small amount of work for them to make the other creatures compatible with being used as a sorceror/warden pet, and I'm not sure they're planning on allocating an employee's time to do stuff like that right yet. Maybe one day they will.

Does anyone else have a knee-jerk "D: NO" reaction to the idea of sorcs summoning things which aren't daedra? do not want

Colour changes could be fun, though.
    CP 750+
Never enough inventory space, even with storage coffers and a mule account

your right but i am wagering there are more than 2 daedric creatures. and an infinite number of animals for wardens of the forest.

Yes. More likely we will get skins that change colors. Any skin that changes the entire appearance would need to still have a similar appearance. Otherwise the time to design it increases significantly.

color change or skins for pets would be cool, they already have one for the warden bear. no loud colors

Well, the warden pet collector's edition option does prove they can change colors and such. I bet it is coming to other pets someday and more options for wardens. Just don't ask too hard or they'll charge you an arm and a leg for it.

Sorc pets could defiantly use a different skin at this point

Considering there is a warden one

Would be nice to see an alternative skin that's unlock-able too for both classes at some point

The real money maker lies with dragons. They just need a loophole in the lore first.

The first adult wolf pet was just released recently and is in the Crown Store now. I definitely hope they do some color variations of it. I just want a plain gray wolf with no red paint on him.

I'm not talking about vanity pets. I want to get rid of the bear and have a wolf to fight by my side instead.
