I try to be lighthearted about it. Very few people make it on to my ignore list, just the ones who (in my view) spew very asinine comments in every thread. Every family has the uncle with the foul language or short temper, we'll work it out.

Yeah, I think I have 1 or 2 names on there. You just see a grey block in the future for their posts.

Click on the forum name of the person, right upper corner next to message is a drop down menu which contains the option "ignore". (edit: for yourself that would be the "edit profile" option)

I've never used the forums ignore list. My in-game ignore list though is very healthy full of account names, with a comment written on every one of them.

ZOS does not 'Ignore Everybody' equally or otherwise, and unless I misunderstand you, your last part of your post literally invalidates your first part.

I am saying the way a post is written does not determine a dev response , the topic does . Polite posts and rage posts can both go without any response from ZoS if they don't feel a need to comment on that topic .

It's a legit point and I've seen it too.

I'm just saying if there was a bit less forest, perhaps individual trees would be more noticeable.

What part of the word 'Forum' don't you understand?

As for posts about game problems, there is a separate forum for those people wanting to register specific game plays issues. Don't expect too many answers there, either. There is also the formal 'ticket' lodging system to report problems.

If I post a problem here, I'm not sure that I'm relying on other players to 'fix' it for me. I already pay someone else for that.

If you are concerned about the ongoing negativity, well there is a solution to that. However, our supplier is focused on creating new products, rather than making the existing ones work as intended. This is their business choice ultimately, just as refusing to buy any more of their products, is my choice as a consumer.

But if anyone feels dissatisfied with their purchased product, for whatever reason, then this the best place to express that opinion. If that gets in the way of your enjoyment, then that's mainly an unintended consequence.

I agree it would be nice to come to a forum and have a happy-happy joy-joy experience.

You asked me elsewhere, sadly in a discussion that in some way violated the ZOS TOS, why I was still here. Presumably you don't appreciate the way I share my experiences of the game play. You have obviously missed my more 'positive' contributions.

Anyway, you know the deal: none have to be here, we all choose to. The TOS are there to make us play nicely.
