crafting parts of a set

How do i make a staff i have crafted part of magnus's gift set, its a master writ task, I can make a nord ruby ash decisive purple restoration staff but don't know how to make it as part of a set?

You need to go to the specific crafting bench in the world for that set. Link: http://elderscrollsonline.wiki.fextralife.com/Magnus'+Gift+Set

Then when you're there make sure that when you're crafting you have the tab at the top (where you choose to make a weapon or armour normally) for crafting a set selected.

Edit: You will also need to know at least 4 traits for restoration staves to be able to make the set. Each crafted set has a number traits required to be known to craft items of that type.
